Starting with the FA Women’s Cup the focus on the sides competing from the East of England in 2nd Round Qualifying 16 teams in all across 11 ties all vying for a place in 3rd Round Qualifying where the sides from FAWPL Division One enter the competition. One of the 2nd Round Qualifying ties was the featured match on the Supporting Women’s Football blog as I travelled over to Northamptonshire to watch Norfolk Division One side Wymondham Town Ladies take on Moulton Ladies newly promoted to the regional set up. Always an intriguing prospect when two sides from different counties meet as the level of play can vary greatly. On the day despite creating a few half chances Moulton Ladies found Wymondham Town too strong on the day as the visitors scored 2 quick fire goals on the half hour mark to take control of the tie through captain Rachel Cossey and Amber Cantwell. Laura Wiseman added a 3rd goal early in the 2nd half which Wymondham Town dominated to go on to win 0-3 click on the link below to take you to the full match report
