The lead changes at the top of the ERWFL Premier Division once again, Peterborough Northern Star Ladies going top last Sunday weren’t in action this time around, Acle United Women travelling down to White Hart Lane to play bottom side Haringey Borough Women on Sunday a repeat of the fixture that settled the title on the final day 2 season’s ago. Much has changed since then Haringey with a much changed squad struggling, Acle getting the better of them despite a lacklustre performance winning by a single goal to take the 3 points back to Norfolk with them. The winning goal coming in the 34th minute moments after Haringey had almost opened the scoring themselves, defender Grace Parker rising inside the box to score from a Broghan Scully free-kick. Acle go top and would have regardless of the result of this game as they have been awarded the 3 points for 2 fixtures in October their opponents unable to field a side on both occasion’s giving Acle a 6 point lead at the top.

It was a below par performance last Sunday away to Acle that saw Hertfordshire side, Royston Town Ladies loose for the 1st time this season. Bounced back with a win on home soil this Sunday to climb up into 2nd spot in the Premier Division. Were hosting Colney Heath Ladies despite a slow start to the game Royston opened the scoring with Hayley Elderd setting up Joanne Rutherford to score. Rutherford with the assist as Charlotte South put the ball into the back of the net for a 2-0 half-time lead. Elderd getting a goal for Royston in the 2nd half to secure a 3-0 victory.
Bedford Ladies were at home in the Premier Division on Sunday taking on Suffolk’s AFC Sudbury Ladies. The hosts results a mixed bag this season so far, secure victory this weekend after 2 successive defeats to sides challenging for the title. Goals from Carissa Kaczorowski, Michelle Byrne, Maya Sidhu & Paige Abraham seeing Bedford win the game 4-0.
An interesting title battle emerging Acle on top for now have played (well more shown as played) than anyone else, Cambridge City Ladies distracted by cup matches have been frustrated observers now 4th but still with a 100% record, a few more twists and turns yet this season I’m sure.
ERWFL Division One
There is an equally intriguing title battle emerging in ERWFL Division One, a host of sides chasing early pacesetters, Stevenage Ladies Reserves their lead having been eroded down to 2 points last Sunday in a 6-5 defeat away to Bowers & Pitsea Ladies, their home game this Sunday against Histon Ladies falling foul to the weather, the gap is now down to just a point!
Bowers & Pitsea Ladies in confident mood were at home again this Sunday facing a tough challenge against league newcomers St Ives Town Ladies who themselves in 3rd spot have enjoyed a great start to life at the higher level the Cambridgeshire side, unbeaten from 7 played. Two sides full of attacking potential it was a tighter affair at the back for the Essex side this time around, Kira Markwell in top form in the St Ives goal keeping them form scoring. Equally the St Ives attack was unable to breach the Bowers & Pitsea defence at the other end the game ending 0-0 both sides moving one point closer to Stevenage.

Another Essex side capitalising on that result are Hutton Ladies as they pick up the 3 points away from home on Sunday to move into 2nd spot a point behind the leaders themselves now. Were on the road taking on Hertfordshire’s Hoddesdon Town Owls Ladies. 30 goals for the season now for Vicky Kinsman what an inspiring signing she has been for Hutton, hitting another two goals into the back of the net those 30 coming from 13 appearances. Laura Allen also getting in on the goals as Hutton ran out 3-0 winners, 3 point separating the top 4 sides now.
Newmarket Town Ladies are also in the hunt as they win big at the weekend to move into 5th 4 points from the top. At home on Sunday were taking on Hatfield Peverel Ladies. Newmarket’s squad now starting to grow after a few departures during the close season. Leading comfortably 3-0 at the break were ruthless in the 2nd half going on to record a double figure win. Lauren Deller marking her 50th appearance for Newmarket with a brace, also a brace for Jess Linger, Sarah O’Rourke on the scoresheet too with a goal. Newmarket’s other 5 goals all 1st’s for their new signings, Abbi Griffin of course a familiar making a welcome return to the club getting her 1st goal. Katie Webb with her first goal since rejoining having been with Newmarket at youth level, and there was a hat-trick for Annabel Cuthbert on her home debut. A welcome return to winning ways after a run of 3 straight defeats in league and cup.
Lawford Ladies make up the top 6 in Division One and are just a point further back in the table 6 behind Stevenage. An away trip for the Essex side on Sunday taking on Bishops Stortford Ladies. Tess Ryan getting a hat-trick for Lawford, captain Daisy Canny hitting another brace moves her onto 12 goals for the season, Tyler Christou also getting a goal in a 6-2 win. Jemma Good and Poppy Kelly with the goals for Bishops Stortford.
With league leaders, Cambridge City Ladies distracted by cup competition for the 3 Sunday run the chasing pack has caught up and a new side take over at the top of the ERWFL Premier Division, with Peterborough Northern Star Ladies recording a 7th straight league win to climb to the top of the table. At home this Sunday Northern Star were hosting bottom side Haringey Borough Women at the Branch Bros Stadium. A hat-trick from Vicky Gallagher winning the 3 points for the hosts as Northern Star won the game 3-1 to see them top the table.
Another side going into the weekend with the potential to lead the ERWFL Premier Division table were Royston Town Ladies as they took their unbeaten record up to Norfolk to play Acle United Women. A 3-1 win at home for Royston in the reverse fixture. A competitive 1st half seeing the sides holding each other to a 0-0 draw. A different story 2nd half as Acle went on to complete a comprehensive win. Olivia Mungham-Gray opening the scoring for Acle in the 53rd minute. The lead soon doubled with Grace Birchall firing home. Birchall getting her 2nd of the game scoring from the penalty spot, captain Megan Todd on target with 6 minutes left to see Acle win the game 4-0 climb up to 4th spot as Royston losing for the 1st time this season drop to 5th, just 4 points between the top 5 now.
Above Royston and Acle in 3rd place in the Premier Division are, Brentwood Town Ladies, returning to winning ways last weekend travelled to Bedfordshire this Sunday to take on AFC Dunstable Ladies. Top scorer Georgia Holdaway continuing her great form in front of goal scoring 4 more to take her tally to 17 for the season. Leah Cowan also on target with her 8th of the season along with a 4th goal of the season from Marie Barker seeing the Essex side take the 3 points home with a 6-2 victory. Victoria Allen and Chelsea Forde scoring for Dunstable.
AFC Sudbury Ladies were short on numbers as they played host to Wymondham Town Ladies on Sunday in the Premier Division. The Norfolk side coring plenty of goals have several attacking options and ran out comfortable winners to move back into the top half of the table. Laura Nicholls top scorer for Wymondham adding another 5 goals to her name against Sudbury. Mollie O’Callaghan scoring a hat-trick for the 2nd successive game too. There was a brace a piece for Alice Collins and Hannah Waters with Kayleigh Holloway scoring in a 13-0 win.
Colney Heath Ladies getting a bit of form behind them now after riding out a difficult spell after making a positive start to the season, unbeaten in 3 games now were hosting Harlow Town Ladies this Sunday having lost 4-1 to them back in September. A point a piece this time around. Poppy Binding firing Harlow into the lead, Colney Heath coming back to level just before half-time Sophie Gardiner scoring from a free-kick. 1-1 it remained both sides with chances to win it taking home a point each.
ERWFL Division One
The ERWFL is a great league to watch, entertainment guaranteed, a good level of football, good for player development, the title race in Division One as exciting as that in the Premier Division. It was here that Women’s Football East ventured on Sunday to watch a top of the table clash in Essex with Bowers & Pitsea Ladies the new side in 2nd spot in the table hosting league leaders Stevenage Ladies Reserves. A 5 point gap between the sides, Bowers & Pitsea got off to a positive start it was Stevenage though who would take the early lead, Emily Schofield breaking in behind to send the ball under the keeper and score. Bowers & Pitsea kept coming on and got back on level terms Danielle Styles played in on the ball inside the box lashing the ball home to make it 1-1. Stevenage came back again against the run of play to score two quick goals to go 3-1 up. Schofield with both shooting from the angle having taken the original corner, than fouled in the box stepping up to complete her hat-trick from the penalty spot.

Bowers & Pitsea kept up their positive approach attacking well and with the first half moving into the latter stages pulled the scores level at 3-3 with two quick goals of their own both from corners, Georgia Fraser sneaking in unmarked to send the ball through a crowded six yard box and in, Taylor Parrish rising to head the ball in moments later. A complete turn around late on the half as Bowers & Pitsea took the lead Styles stealing the ball off the Stevenage defence and running in on goal to send the ball past the keeper at in.

4-3 at half-time Bowers & Pitsea started the 2nd half as well as they finished the first extending the lead early on, Sophie Dowman setting up Styles to slot the ball home and complete her hat-trick. Styles going on to get a 4th trying her luck from distance making it 6-3. A comfortable lead going into the final 10 minutes, it turned out to be a nervy climax in the end, Schofield a threat all game running in behind one on one with the keeper to make it 6-4, it was 6-5 moments later, Schofield with her 5th of the game again beating the keeper to score. Bowers & Pitsea holding their nerve to win the game 6-5 close the gap to Stevenage to 2 points.
St Ives Town Ladies 3rd in Division One are the only unbeaten side in the league, a 2 points back on Bowers & Pitsea Ladies and 4 off leaders Stevenage with 2 games in hand on both. At home on Sunday were taking on Bishops Stortford Ladies. Tierney Coulson continuing her good form in front of goal at the start of the season hitting another 4 goals into the back of the net to take her onto 14 goals now for the season, top scoring for St Ives. Emily Smith also on target for a brace with Georgia Stancombe also scoring her 8th of the season in a 7-0 victory.
Joining St Ives Town on 17 points in 4th spot are Essex side Hutton Ladies, were taking on Newmarket Town Ladies at home on Sunday. It was just Newmarket’s 3rd away game of the season. A competitve game Hutton in the end running out convincing winners with some quality strikes, if I said Vicky Kinsman didn’t score you wouldn’t believe me… and you’re right was on target for another brace this Sunday taking her onto 26 for the season (and it isn’t Christmas yet). Sally Appleton also netting two goals in the game, there was a 1st goal for Hutton for Hayley Piggott to since joining from Billericay. Hutton winning 5-1, Brooke Wickens scoring for Newmarket.
Hoddesdon Town Owls Ladies make the trip up to Norfolk on Sunday to play King’s Lynn Town Ladies. The Hertfordshire side capitalising on a slow start from the home side to race into a 3-0 lead inside the opening 19 minutes. Natasha Crick on 8 minutes making it 1-0 Kristina O’Connell scoring Hoddesdon’s 2nd a minute later. Crick making it 3-0 with her 2nd of the game in the 19th minute. King’s Lynn rallied and late in the first half pulled it back to 3-1 with a goal from Olivia Baker. The 2nd half a much better performance from King’s Lynn according to my undercover reporter at the game the hosts dominated but were unable on convert there chances. Hoddesdon had two good chances to extend their lead as well but in the finish the opening 19 minutes proved the difference Hoddesdon winning 5-1 climb up to 5th place in the Division One table.
Lastly in ERWFL Division One, Hatfield Peveral Ladies were hosting Cambridgeshire side, Histon Ladies on Sunday. The visitors having the better of the first half getting into a 2-0 lead at half-time. Hatfield Peverel fighting back in the 2nd half creating chances couldn’t find a reply as Histon took home the 3 points to move up a place to 8th.
A return to league action on Women’s Football East with a game from the top of ERWFL Division One, travelling down to Essex to watch 2nd placed Bowers & Pitsea Ladies take on league leaders Stevenage Ladies Reserves.
Bowers & Pitsea Ladies a new name in the league this season but an established side having joined forces with a new club make the name change after previously been known as Little Thurrock Dynamos Ladies
A 5 point league for Stevenage Ladies Reserves who won the ERWFL Division One South title last season. Ineligible to take promotion to the Premier Division as a reserves side ERWFL Division One the highest level they can reach, have started this season strongly too in what is a single Division One league this season starting with 13 sides but now sadly down to 12 following the withdrawal of Ipswich Wanderers Ladies. 4 straight league wins to start the season for Stevenage before suffering a 5-0 away defeat to newly promoted Newmarket Town Ladies. That their only loss in the league to date however a 100% record since sees them in a strong position at the top of the table. Daniela Martucci leading the goal scoring charts with 11 goals.
Is an ever changing picture below Stevenage in the race to catch them at the top of the table a cluster of sides separated by just 4 points with from Bowers & Pitsea in 2nd down to Hoddesdon Town Owls Ladies in 7th and 8th & 9th placed King’s Lynn Town Ladies & Histon Ladies both have games in hand get a run going and both could yet threaten. 3 of the newly promoted sides starting well all amongst those tussling in the top half, St Ives Town Ladies, Newmarket Town Ladies and Essex side Lawford Ladies. Hutton Ladies with Vicky Kinsman leading the attack have started well too.
Bowers & Pitsea Ladies unbeaten in their last 3 league games collecting 7 points get out in front of that pack this their 3rd game in a week having played last Sunday and then again on Thursday night taking on Charlton Athletic in the quarter finals of the Bostik Cup going down to a 7-1 defeat. Back to the league this time Sunday meeting Stevenage for the 2nd time this season a narrow 3-2 loss in the reverse fixture. Proving to be a league were anyone can beat anyone on their day.
The Len Salmon Stadium the venue for today’s game a few changes since the last time I visited a brand new pitch, a state of the art 4G playing surface, Bowers & Pitsea always having a wide pitch the new pitch installed in September a good size railing all around two small seated and covered stands, a new dugouts, the first part of a planned redevelopment of the stadium that will see a new clubhouse, function room and changing facilities built. Very much a community club the ladies side now a part of that community. Final weekend in November a chilly and overcast afternoon, don’t need the hat on yet but it won’t be long.

A positive start from Bowers & Pitsea it’s the visitors who hit them on the counter and open the scoring inside the first 5 minutes attacking down the right side the cross squared in low central is picked up by Schofield taking the ball on across the top of the area Stephens comes to close her down keeps herself big Schofield sending the shot through her legs to give Stevenage the lead 0-1.

The home side enjoying a good spell break forwards in numbers yet again, Styles played in on the right again, rides a challenge keeping her feet before sending a looping cross in central, Keri Green in goal for Stevenage taking the ball low, catches well on the edge of her six yard box with Fraser charging in. Campbell pressuring the ball on the left side wins a corner, taken short the cross taken from a high angle into the area Taylor Parrish drifting in central headers the ball over the crossbar. Styles carrying a threat on the right for Bowers & Pitsea is in behind, Shona Chitate coming across to slide in and clear the ball for a throw. A corner on the left side as the home side attack the ball lifted in towards the top of the area central Dowman with the header, on target but too many bodies to get pass as the Stevenage defence head behind for another corner. Off the 2nd corner Styles putting a dangerous ball in across the face of the Stevenage goal a difficult one for the defence to deal with getting it out for a 3rd corner left side. Parrish up to head this one in the box for Bowers & Pitsea top of the area knocked back down towards the near post no-one can connect to turn it in.

Again Stevenage come up with a goal against the run of play to retake the lead getting up the other end a corner won on the right side players come forwards as Schofield prepares to take, Gemma Biggadike up high at the near side headers the ball down into the Bowers & Pitsea defender jumping with her comes back out to Cowell top of the area back out right to the corner taker Schofield from the angle she strikes the ball hard sending it arrowing in past the keeper 1-2.

Stevenage get straight up the other end the ball on for Schofield to chase down in the area bouncing wide right of goal a race between her and Stephens, the goalkeeper appeared to get her gloves to the ball, as the pair come together Schofield up ended, the referee points to the spot a penalty awarded. Schofield herself to take a chance for a first half hat-trick makes no mistake sending the keeper the wrong way 1-3. Almost half an hour played.

A throw deep on the left the ball played on into the area Dowman doing well to get her head on it turns it goalwards but straight into Green. Natalie Strange with a long pas on for Styles moving out to the right channel, Chitate getting back on her making a good challenge to regain possession the ball into midfield helped on with Schofield running on Brooker to her left Courtney Fraser tackling the ball going for a throw.
Campbell strong on the ball coming on with it for Bowers & Pitsea 30 yards out hits a tremendous strike in towards goal, Green no chance the ball smashing down off the crossbar into the six yard box, Stevenage clear. Lyttle winning the ball at the back played forwards high for Styles back to goal 20 yards out controls well before flicking it on for Ives going past her on the overlap, Keown doing well getting out to her to make the tackle for Stevenage a corner conceded. The ball into the area over the heads of Strange and Fraser, Wood-Thompson clearing it behind for another corner at the far post
GOAL! A great ball delivered into the area finds Georgia Fraser sneaking in unmarked central meeting the ball low turning it goalwards the shot racing in through a crowded six yard box to nestle in the back of the net 2-3.

Two quickfire goals see Bowers & Pitsea right back on level terms as they score from another corner ball, on the left side the delivery long towards the far post defender Parrish rising unchecked far side 12 yards out sends a looping header up and in towards goal to drop under the crossbar and in 3-3.

Five minutes left to play in a fast paced and exciting first half the sides all square at 3-3 Styles making a nuisance of herself through the middle the ball on into the area Chitate doing well to defend close on her Styles grounded still managing to get a shot away little power on it as Green picks it up. Campbell central slides the ball on for Dowman in behind shots from the top of the area wide, but wouldn’t have counted anyway the flag up against her.
GOAL! A complete turn around from Bowers & Pitsea, 3-1 down the take the lead late in the first half. Chitate caught in possession at the back 25 yards out Styles closing in to steal the ball bursts in behind into the area closing in on the goalkeeper, Notschild can’t get to her as Styles fires the shot past Green to claim her 2nd of the match 4-3.
Chances have dried up for Stevenage late in the first half a rare opportunity to put the ball forwards a free-kick left side 30 yards out, Biggadike over it the delivery flighted in towards the far post Stephens can see it drop wide of her goal. Schofield pushing on with the ball central has Biggadike out to her left. top of the area is forced wide good defensive work from Ives. Biggadike getting a cross into the area, Lyttle dealing with in for Bowers & Pitsea.
7 goals scored in the first half an exciting 45 minutes has flown by, Bowers & Pitsea with a positive start falling behind to an early goal. Continued in that same vain getting forwards well levelling the scores but again against the run of play Stevenage did well get score two quick goals to go 3-1 up. Bowers & Pitsea kept creating chances and capitalised from 2 corners to level the scores. Styles firing them into the lead late in the half. 4-3 I’d be surprised if it stayed that way 2nd half.

Bowers & Pitsea build from the back Georgia Fraser bringing it on left sees Styles peeling out wide ahead of her sends her the ball the cross driven in towards the near post Dowman heading it down towards the top of the box with Campbell racing in meeting it first time her strike is deflected wide and behind for the corner.

Green sending the ball long from a kick out of the gloves finds Marshall running into space on the right crosses early the ball dropping central for Martucci, the striker not quite able to get the ball under control.

Into the last 10 minutes Chitate with a crucial foot in to stop the ball as Ives heading the ball on almost sends Georgia Fraser in on goal. Biggadike back on for Stevenage left side lifts the ball into the area, Stephens gets her gloves firmly upon it with Martucci running in.
GOAL! Stevenage have picked up the pace in the last minute and the game has gotten a little stretched Schofield back into a more central role along side Martucci receiving the ball timing her run off the last defender perfectly bursts into the area and sends a low strike under the diving keeper to pull a goal back with 8 minutes left to play 6-4.
GOAL! Straight away Stevenage score another to set up a nervous finish to the match, and it’s Schofield again with her 5th of the match almost a carbon copy of the last goal, the ball breaking favourably into her path after a committed tussle in midfield the striker in behind with the ball at her feet baring down on the keeper one on one she sends the ball wide of Stephens to bring the deficit back to a single goal 6-5.

Their 3 goal lead in danger of being wiped out Bowers & Pitsea are suddenly on the back foot, steel themselves for the closing minutes, Strange with a vital interception at the back. Georgia Fraser breaks in behind for the hosts into the area Green coming out to meet her making a brave save at her feet the ball popping loose Fraser off balance with 2nd bite at it sends the shot over. A late fee-kick for Stevenage left side up into the box Martucci controls before sending a low shot in towards goal Stephens claiming in low at her near post.

It’s rare you’ll read about a 0-0 on here and today was certainly no exception treated to 11 goals this afternoon, a good contest at the top of ERWFL Division One. Bowers & Pitsea winning 6-5 the 3 points closing the gap on Stevenage at the top to just 2 points. A good performance from the host side and overall they were the better side for larger periods of the game, Stevenage not at their best at all know that but still found the back of the net for 5 goals, Emily Schofield now top scorer by my reckoning. The visitors with the early lead, Bowers & Pitsea responding were the better side only to fall 3-1 behind kept going and got the goals back ending u with a first half lead. An early goal 2nd half went 6-3 up. Two late goals from Stevenage setting up a nervy finish, never really got going will be disappointed. A thrill for the neutral but I was probably the only one there.
Women’s Football East – Player of the Match
Time to pick this afternoon’s Women’s Football East – Player of the Match. Got to give Emily Schofield a mention it’ll be unfortunate if you ever score 5 goals in a match and still end up on the losing side. All of them well taken. For Bowers & Pitsea I thought Sabrina Campbell had an excellent game in the middle of the park as did Jennifer Lyttle at the back. Overall all though with her 4 goals and the constant threat in attack and the vocal encouragement she offered her team mates today’s award goes to Danielle Styles.
Always a warm welcome from Bowers & Pitsea, enjoyed my trip down this afternoon and entertaining game, 11 goals plenty to write but it’s the game that provides the contents I just put it into words. Pleasure seeing both sides again and thanks for the help with the teams always appreciated.
As with the previous Round-Up the ERWFL fixture list like the the FAWNL was severely reduced due to clubs scattering to take part on their various County Cup competitions at the weekend with just the two games taking place across the 2 divisions.
In the Premier Division, Harlow Town Ladies were playing host to AFC Dunstable Ladies, Goals from Abbey Dell, Olivia Steele and Tayla Handscombe seeing Harlow score 3, but a battling display from AFC Dunstable saw them earn a 5th point of the season as they drew 3-3 thanks to 2 goals from Storm Sherry Burrows and a 1st goal for defender Tanya Blacksley. The point seeing both move up a place Harlow Town back into the top half of the table.
ERWFL Division One
All very tight in the top half of the ERWFL Division One table and with just the one fixture taking place this Sunday 2nd spot was up for grabs as Bowers & Pitsea Ladies hosted fellow Essex side Hatfield Peverel Ladies on Sunday. Sluggish in the first half, Hatfield Peverel were holding Bowers & Pitsea to a goalless draw at the half-time interval. A better start to the 2nd half for Bowers & Pitsea however as they broke the deadlock in the 51st minute, Danielle Styles scoring to fire them into the lead. The advantage doubled just 6 minutes later with Sophie Dowman scoring to make it 2-0. Into the final 15 minutes as Abbie Simmonds found the back of the net to make it 3-0 an secure the win for Bowers & Pitsea a put them 2nd in the table. Undefeated in 4 league games now including 3 wins. A couple of big games coming up, 1st up in midweek this Thursday are at home to Charlton Athletic Women in the quarter finals of the Bostik Women’s Cup. Followed on Sunday with a home game against the league leaders Stevenage Ladies Reserves.
With Premier Division leaders, Cambridge City Ladies flying the flag for the ERWFL in the FA Women’s Cup this Sunday it was an opportunity for the chasing sides to try and close the gap at the top of the table. 2nd placed Royston Town Ladies were on the road taking on Bedford Ladies. The visitors dropping points for the first time this season in a 4-4 draw against Wymondham Town Ladies last time out, took the lead against Bedford, Danielle Carty striking the ball in from a free-kick. Hayley Elderd doubling the advantage for Royston with a volley into the top corner. Bedford fought their way back into the game coming back to level the score with Michelle Byrne and Sophie Mulvihill on target to make it 2-2. Royston’s getting back into the lead with a strike from Rebecca Scott, her 4th goal of the season winning the game for Royston who move to within 2 points of Cambridge City Ladies.
Also joining Royston on 19 points, moving into 3rd on goal difference are Peterborough Northern Star Ladies. An 88th winning goal from Emma Pollard seeing them fight back from being 3-1 against fellow title hopefuls, Acle United Women on Sunday. Acle travelling to Peterborough 4th versus 5th in the Premier Division. Grace Birchall putting the Norfolk side into the lead 11 minutes into the game. Peterborough’s Katie Steward getting the scores back on level terms before Acle restored their 1st half lead from the penalty spot, Birchall with her 2nd of the game. Acle 2-1 up at half-time extended the lead early in the 2nd half with a goal scored by Kate Pasque. Peterborough again finding a quick reply to get it back to 3-2, Steward with her 2nd of the game. Into the final 10 minutes, Peterborough awarded a free-kick, Steward taking it scoring from 30 yards out to complete her hat-trick taking her onto 8 for the season, briefly level with top scorer Emma Pollard who bagged the winning goal 2 minutes from time running onto a through ball beating the keeper and scoring the 4-3 win moving Peterborough up to 3rd.
Wymondham Town Ladies won at the weekend to take them up into the top half of the Premier Division table. Hosting bottom side Haringey Borough Women on Sunday. Mollie O’Callaghan opening the scoring for the hosts in the 15th minute. Top scorer Laura Nicholls putting Wymondham 2 nil up 5 minutes later added another in the 36th. 3-0 up and deep into 1st half stoppage time Wymondham were awarded a penalty, vice-captain Leah Newcombe sending the ball home from the spot to put Wymondham 4-0 up. Further chances created but no more goals until the final minute, Hannah Waters finding the back of the net for 5-0, time for another in the 90th minute Nicholls completing another hat-trick to secure a 6-0 win.
Also winning by 6 goals at the weekend were Essex side, Harlow Town Ladies as they to move up a place to 7th in the Premier Division table winning away to Suffolk’s AFC Sudbury Ladies. Lily Bruno scoring a hat-trick moves onto 8 goals for the season. Goals to for Abbey Dell, Tayla Handscombe and Chloe Bassett to seal a comfortable 6-0 away win.
Harlow Town Ladies, Lily Bruno
A win at last in the league for Colney Heath Ladies after a promising start taking 4 points from their opening two league games, haven’t got a point since then losing 5 in a row in the Premier Division. The bad run halted at home on Sunday as Colney Heath played host to AFC Dunstable Ladies who themselves were coming into the game off the back of their 1st win of the season. The hosts opening the scoring from a free-kick a 2nd goal coming through Nicola Hollick, Colney Heath 2-0 at the break.Kelly Glynn making it 3-0. Dunstable pulling a goal back Sophie Bailey with a long range shot to make it 3-1. Adrienne Milton firing in a goal late on to secure a 4-1 win for Colney Heath.
ERWFL Division One
In ERWFL Division One, leaders Stevenage Ladies Reserves open up a 7 point lead at the top of the table coming out on top in a 7 goal thriller away to Lawford Ladies on Sunday. Emily Schofield putting Stevenage into the lead, Lawford coming back quickly to make it 1-1 had further chances in the 1st half, Stevenage though getting back in front Nicole Emmings scoring to make it 2-1. Lawford scoring a further two goals with Jasmine Cox, Daisy Canny and Ella Boyden all on the scoresheet a goal from Hannah Marshall plus a 2nd from Emmings seeing Stevenage clinch a 4-3 to pull away at the top.
That defeat for Lawford, coupled with no game for 3rd placed Newmarket Town Ladies and County cup action for 2nd placed St Ives Town Ladies presented an opportunity for 5th and 6th placed Hutton Ladies and Bowers & Pitsea Ladies to make ground in what is a very tight race behind the leaders. The Essex pair meeting at Bowers & Pitsea on Sunday. Sophie Dowman opening the scoring putting Bowers & Pitsea 1-0 up in the 1st half with her 5th goal of the season. Hutton came back to level the scores top scorer Vicky Kinsman finding the back of the net for her 23rd goal of the season. The score all square at 1-1 at half-time it was Hutton who took the lead early in the 2nd half, Kinsman with her 2nd of the match. Bowers & Pitsea’s turn to pull the scores level as 12 minutes later their top scorer Danielle Styles scored from an acute angle to make it 2-2 with her 7th of the season. Both pushing for a winning goal late on neither could having to settle for a share of the points, enough to move Hutton into 3rd position in the table whilst Bowers & Pitsea climb to 5th spot just a point behind the 3 sides above them.
Hoddesdon Town Ladies in 7th position are just 2 points of that group themselves won the 3 points at home on Sunday to win for the 3rd time in the league this season at home to Hertford Town Ladies. Rebecca Scola scoring her 1st goal since her return to Hoddesdon putting them into the lead in the 14th minute. 1-0 it remained until the final 22 minutes, Kristina O’Connell netting for the 6th time this season to double the lead and secure a 2-0 win for Hoddesdon.
At long last Bishops Stortford Ladies can celebrate a victory in the league, their last ERWFL Division One win coming at the very start of last season’s campaign. Has been a tough time for the club since the players and staff sticking together through those difficult times often short on numbers. 3 points on the board after more than 12 months. Were at home taking on Hatfield Peverel Ladies, themselves struggling in the league since promotion this season. A purple patch for Bishops Stortford with 5 goals scored in the space of 7 first half minutes doing the damage, Jemma Good scoring her 1st of the season in the 28th minute. Captain Brogan McHale scoring a minute later, Teigan McHale not long after with her 1st of the season. Broghan McHale getting a 2nd then Heather Martin making it 5-0 in the 35th minute. Broghan McHale going on to add her 3rd and complete a hat-trick on the hour to see Bishops Stortford win the game… and finally get a tag in The Round-Up.
The battle at the top of the ERWFL continues to intensify with the 4 of the top 5 all winning at the weekend. Leaders Cambridge City Ladies remain 3 points clear at the top as they recorded a 7th straight league win to maintain their 100%. A trip to The Harlow Arena on Sunday to play Harlow Ladies. Kaydee King and Lily Bruno on target with a goal each for Harlow not enough as Cambridge hit them for 5 up the other end, have goalscorers all over the pitch with Laura Mills, Erin Davies, Bella Simmons and Shannon Shaw all adding a goal to their accounts this season along with a 1st goal of the season for Lauren Tomlinson.
Royston Town Ladies were the other side in the ERWFL Premier Division defending a 100% start to the season going into Sunday’s game. The Hertfordshire side at home to Wymondham Town Ladies. The Norfolk side taking the lead on the half hour Kayleigh Holloway scoring the goal from a Betty Fretwell free-kick. Top scorer, Laura Nicholls scoring Wymondham’s 2nd just 5 minutes later her shot smashing in off the underside of the bar. Royston pulling a goal back with 3 minutes left in the 1st half Joanne Rutherford from the penalty spot. A 2-1 lead for Wymondham at the break.
Rutherford with her 2nd of the match bringing Royston back to 2-2 in the 53rd minute, Wymondham responding straight away, Hannah Waters scoring to restore Wymondham’s lead. That only lasted a minute however as Hayley Elderd hit a screamer, scoring to make it 3-3. Past the hour and Wymondham edged themselves into the lead again Waters scoring her 2nd getting onto the end of another Fretwell set-piece. Royston coming back once again Georgia Gannaway with her 1st touch after coming on making it 4-4 with 25 minutes left. The points shared in the finish 4-4! Royston dropping points for the 1st time this season. Wymondham with a new signing, Jordan Arnoup recently with Ipswich Town Women a very strong addition to their squad.
Points dropped for Royston Town Ladies a bonus for Brentwood Town Ladies as the Essex side get back to winning ways after 2 straight defeats in the league to climb back into 2nd spot. Victory coming at home on Sunday as they entertained bottom side, Haringey Borough Women. Both Marie Barker and Leah Cowan netting a brace for Brentwood their were goals too for Danielle Butler, Sophie Lovell and top scorer Georgia Holdaway in a 7-0 success.
It was the ERWFL Premier Division were the football action on Women’s Football East came from a trip to the FDC Flegg to watch 4th placed Acle United Women play 6th placed Bedford Ladies. A fast paced game that was played at a high tempo, Acle with a confident start showed their attacking intent from the very start. It was Bedford though who would open the scoring a counter attack, Carissa Kaczorowski making a run into the channel left side bearing down on the box, goalkeeper Amy Bell rushing out to close her down, Kaczorowski lifting it over her to send the ball into the goal beyond. Acle weren’t too long in finding a reply a free-kick on the left lifted into the box, runners from the edge of the area the ball turned home by captain Megan Todd. The home side pressing Bedford back looking for further goals chances came and went into the last five minutes of the half Todd picking up the ball 25 yards out a run in field and shoots the ball rifled pass the keeper into the back of the net 2-1. Substitute Kate Pasque rising in the area meet a right wing cross, not connecting with the ball as she had intended but nevertheless effective knocked down back across the goal into the bottom corner for Acle’s 3rd. Todd completing a 1st half hat-trick right at the end of the half a free header inside the six yard box the ball played in from the right.
Acle leading 4-1 at half-time in control of the game started in the same vein 2nd half on the offensive, Bedford unable to get anything going in attack. A free-kick on the left played into the area near post Todd with the run to meet it scoring her 4th of the match Acle’s 5th. A dominant display from Acle, Bedford frustrated not their afternoon, backs to the wall they managed to pull a goal back winning a corner the ball headed out to the left retrieved, Priya Bhatti with Maya Sidhu the long range shot on finding it’s way in across the six yard box. A coming together in the box saw Acle’s Amy Bell injured needing to come off Rhianne Brister donning the gloves for the final 15 minutes. Acle continued to attack won a penalty off the frustrated Bedford back line, Ceira Flatt brought down in the box taking the spot kick scoring her 1st goal of the season high into the net. Into stoppage time and Bedford grabbed another goal a free-kick from Michelle Byrne fired high into the box the bounce taking the ball up over the keeper and in. Acle winning 6-3.
Peterborough Northern Star Ladies, in 5th spot joining Acle United Women and Royston Town Ladies on 16 points with victory away to Colney Heath Ladies on Sunday. The visitors taking a first half lead through Chanade Henderson scoring from a free-kick, the lead doubled before Colney Heath pulled one back, Nicola Hollick scoring. Half-time 2-1 to Peterborough Northern Star they added a further goal in the 2nd period to win the game 3-1 to take the 3 points. Katie and Cassie Steward with the goals.
A first win of the season for AFC Dunstable Ladies who at one point had given notice to withdraw from the ERWFL before the season started a difficult start just a point on the board were at home to fellow strugglers AFC Sudbury Ladies on Sunday. move above them courtesy of goals from, Victoria Allen, Kerry Straton and a brace for Storm Sherry Burrows. 4-0 the winning margin.

The table adjusted in ERWFL Division One following the sad withdrawal of Ipswich Wanderers Ladies sees the sides that gained points against them have them scrubbed off their tally, including league leaders Stevenage Ladies Reserves their lead now 4 points.
2nd placed St Ives Town Ladies also losing those points won them back on Sunday at home as they took on Essex side, Hatfield Peverel Ladies. Tierney Coulson scoring a goal to put her into double figures for the season after 7 appearances. A goal each too for Katie and Georgia Stancombe, whilst Harriet Ford netted her 1st goal of the season in a 4-0 win.
Hutton Ladies leap frog above their weekends opponents Lawford Ladies to move into 4th position in Division One. The Essex sides meeting at Lawford on Sunday. A brace from top scorer Vicky Kinsman has an incredible 22 goals already this season from 10 appearances, since joining the club over the close season, Rosi Webb also on the scoresheet for Hutton has 11 goals now from her 9 appearances this season. Hutton winning 3-1, Jasmine Cox with the goal for Lawford.
Histon Ladies were at home on Sunday taking on Hertford Town Ladies at the Glassworld Stadium. The home side holding a 2-0 advantage at half-time, Katie Webb scoring both goals. Involved in the build-up as Histon took a 3-0 lead early in the 2nd half Katie Seagrave scoring from close range. Georgia Day scoring soon after to secure a 4-0 win for Histon pulling them clear of the bottom 3.
Like the FAWNL it was a smaller fixture list in the ERWFL this Sunday with a large number of clubs involved in their various County Cup competitions, postponements too saw just 3 matches taking place but those saw some significant results.
A 5th straight league win sees Cambridge City Ladies return to the top of the ERWFL Premier Division a big win too coming on the road against Suffolk sides AFC Sudbury Ladies. Laura Mills moving into double figures has 12 for the season now finding the back of the net 4 times on Sunday. Anna Goggin, Carla Penny and Erin Davies all scoring a brace the final score 11-1 with Shannon Shaw also on target with a goal for Cambridge City. Semma Halil with the consolation goal for Sudbury.
Was a significant result too at the other end of the Premier Division a first point of the season for both AFC Dunstable Ladies and Haringey Borough Women as they fought out a goalless draw on Sunday. A long time coming for Haringey Borough having endured a tough season in the FAWNL before dropping back down to the ERWFL their first league point in 2018.

One game in ERWFL Division One on Sunday with Essex side Bowers & Pitsea Ladies hosting Hertfordshire’s, Hoddesdon Town Owls Ladies. Danielle Styles putting the hosts into a 5th minute lead, Bowers & Pitsea adding two further goals midway through the 2nd half, Georgia Fraser and then 3 minutes later Emma Mackie scoring to make it 3-0. Hoddesdon pulling a goal back before the half-time break following a scramble from a corner. The visitors getting it back to 3-2 early in the 2nd period fought back to level it a 3-3 with 79 minutes played. Scoring in the opening 5 minutes, Styles added her 2nd of the game 5 minutes from the end to seal the 4-3 win for Bowers & Pitsea Ladies moving them up to 6th and right back amongst the pack above looking to catch leaders Stevenage Ladies Reserves. All change at the top of the ERWFL Premier Division after this Sunday’s results with leaders Brentwood Town Ladies unbeaten run coming to an end, and Cambridge City Ladies and Acle United Women 2nd and 3rd going into the weekend seeing their games called off dropping down the table as those below picked up the 3 points. Brentwood Town Ladies had gone on a run of 5 straight league wins that had propelled them to the top of the Premier Division. Were away to one of those sides they had beaten in that run this Sunday, Bedford Ladies. A 2-1 win for Brentwood then much higher scoreline this time around as the sides found the back of the net for 8 goals. Another brace for Brentwood’s top scorer, Georgia Holdaway along with a goal for Leah Cowan seeing the visitors score 3, Bedford coming out on top hitting 5 in reply to end the Essex sides winning streak. Eden Kibron netting twice along with goals for Michelle Byrne, Catalina Costas and Sophie Mulvihill winning for Bedford 5-3.

Royston Town Ladies climb up to 3rd in the Premier Division as they continued their 100% winning start to the season with a 4th success on the road away to Suffolk side, AFC Sudbury Ladies on Sunday. Teonie Peyton scoring a double in her 1st start for Royston since joining from Cambridge United Women. Danielle Carty, Georgia Gannaway and Charlotte South all getting a goal to for Royston in a 5-0 victory.
Wymondham Town Ladies also winning at home at the weekend to close the gap on the sides in the top half of the table their 3rd of the season coming against Colney Heath Ladies who saw manager Sam Wardle step down earlier in the week. Laura Nicholls opening the scoring for Wymondham in the 16th minute scoring from the penalty spot after Hannah Waters was fouled in the box. Waters herself making it 2-0 on the half hour. Mollie O’Callaghan adding a 3rd goal late in the 1st half there was still time for another goal Wymondham 4-0 up at the break with Nicholls getting her 2nd of the game. Wymondham going further ahead on the hour Nicholls completing her hat-trick also hit a 4th goal to make it 6-0 moving her onto 15 goals already this season from 7 appearances. The final score 7-0 to Wymondham with O’Callaghan scoring her 2nd of the game in the 83rd minute.

A clash between the top two in ERWFL Division One on Sunday with 2nd placed King’s Lynn Town Ladies hosting leaders Stevenage Ladies Reserves looking to close the 6 point gap. A recent meeting in the League Cup ending 5-4 to Stevenage, Sunday was another high scoring game but sadly for King’s Lynn Tow not the way they would have wanted as Stevenage went on to record a comfortable win to earn their 7th 3 point haul of the season. Erin Pope netting a hat-trick for Stevenage, their were goals to for Holly Darling, Hannah Marshall and Emily Schofield in a 6-1 win. Jodie Hopkins-Duckhouse scoring for King’s Lynn Town who slip to 5th in the Division One table.

A run of 6 league games unbeaten sees Newmarket Town Ladies keep pace with St Ives Town in 3rd position both sides joining from the Cambridgeshire Women’s Premiership starting life at the higher level well, Newmarket finding their feet were hosting Essex side Bowers & Pitsea Ladies this Sunday. A goal from Brooke Wickens seeing Newmarket leading the game 1-0 at half-time scored in the 17th minute. Bowers & Pitsea coming back to level the scores with the game closing in on the hour Jennifer Lyttle scoring from a 40 yard free-kick. Into the final 15 minutes and Newmarket were awarded a penalty kick. Laura Bailey scoring from the spot for the 2nd successive game to put Newmarket back into the lead. Lauren Deller put through on goal late in the game to score and seal the 3-1 win for Newmarket.
Lawford Ladies complete a trio of newly promoted sides in the top 4 of Division One. Unbeaten since the opening day of the season won their 4th league match of the season at home on Sunday playing Hertford Town Ladies. Goals for captain Daisy Canny, Tyler Christou, Sofia Serghiou and Erin Hornby seeing the Essex side win the game 4-0 to move into 4th.
A gritty performance away from home saw Hatfield Peverel Ladies the other newly promoted side to the ERWFL pick up their 2nd league point of the season as they drew 0-0 with fellow Essex side Hutton Ladies on Sunday.
Hoddesdon Town Ladies won at the weekend to climb back up into the top half of the Division One table, were at home playing bottom side Bishops Stortford Ladies on Sunday. Natasha Crick putting Hoddesdon into the lead scoring with 5 minutes of the 1st half left to play. Rosy Woodhams extending Hoddesdon’s lead 10 minutes into the 2nd half. The 3 points secured in the 64th minute with Grace Leslie scoring her 1st goal for Hoddesdon since joining from Royston Town.

Go 5 points clear taking advantage of 2nd & 3rd placed Cambridge City Ladies and Acle United Women locking horns in the FA Women’s Cup. A gritty determined performance seeing Brentwood emerge 2-1 victors over Colney Heath Ladies at home on Sunday to keep their excellent run going.
Also taking advantage of the FA Cup battle between 2nd and 3rd is Peterborough Northern Star Ladies 4 league matches unbeaten now in the Premier Division winning 3 in a row to move level on points in 4th with 3rd placed Acle United Women. On the road on Sunday were taking on AFC Sudbury Ladies. Cassie Steward and Emma Pollard both scoring a brace with Bronwyn Mulheron and Chanade Henderson also scoring a goal each in a 6-1 win. Royston Town Ladies are up to 5th in the Premier Division playing just their 3rd league game of the season keep up their 100% record a 3rd win coming away from home at bottom side Haringey Borough Women on Sunday. Rebecca Scott and Sammy Tinsley both getting two goals each their were further goals for Royston who went on to win the game 9-0. Danielle Carty, Francesca Smithers, Charlotte South, Hayley Eldred and Georgia Gannaway all on the scoresheet. Haringey still in search of their 1st league point.
As are AFC Dunstable Ladies after they were beaten away from home against Bedford Ladies on Sunday. Bedford bouncing back after suffering 2 straight losses against the top two the sixth placed side winning the game 6-1. Eden Kibron scoring twice, two goals too for Carissa Kaczorowski. Lily Eaton and Jasmine Ajayi also scoring for Bedford.
ERWFL Division One
Stevenage Ladies Reserves continue to set the pace in ERWFL Division One six points clear at the top as they recorded their sixth win of the season away to Hertford Town Ladies on Sunday. Daniela Martucci scoring a hat-trick moving her onto 13 goals from 8 appearances so far this season. Emily Schofield adding a goal too in a 4-1 win, moving her onto 7 goals so far this season.
Matches involving King’s Lynn Town Ladies are averaging 7.8 goals a game so far this season, plenty of drama, climb into 2nd position in the Division One table after Sunday’s result a 2nd successive league win. There last 3 games featuring 9 goals each. Were at home playing Essex side Hutton Ladies this time around. The visitors having the better of the 1st half leading the game 3-0. King’s Lynn fighting back in the 2nd half Hutton adding a 4th goal, it wasn’t enough as King’s Lynn held a 5-4 advantage come the final whistle to claim the 3 points. Rosi Webb and another hat-trick for Victoria Kinsman taking her onto 16 goals for the season, from just 6 appearances. King’s Lynn winning the match thanks to goals from, Oksana Imanalijeva, Emma Corbyn and Rochelle Woods with Jodie Hopkins-Duckhouse netting a brace.
St Ives Town Ladies extend their unbeaten start to the season earning a point away from home on Sunday against Hoddesdon Town Owls Ladies. Both sides creating chances to take more than a point from the game but ultimately defences on top the game ending in a goalless draw.
A draw too between the sides immediately behind St Ives Town both also new to the league Newmarket Town Ladies hosting Lawford Ladies on Sunday. Lawford getting the lead Jasmine Cox on target to put the Essex side 1-0 up. Molly Agnew getting Newmarket back on level terms late in the 1st half. Again Lawford good back in front with Cox on target for her 2nd of the game. Newmarket digging deep awarded a penalty with 3 minutes left on the clock. Midfielder Laura Bailey stepping up and scoring from the spot to see the game end 2-2.

Lastly it was a 1st win of the season in Division One for Ipswich Wanderers Ladies. On home soil sporting a new kit were taking on Hatfield Peverel Ladies. Madeleine Fairbrother making only her 2nd start scoring her 1st goals, a hat-trick for Ipswich Wanderers. Kristie Turner scoring a brace the winning score 6-0 with Lina Nagib also on target for the hosts.
New leaders in the ERWFL Premier Division, a 4th straight league win seeing Brentwood Town Ladies climb to the top of the table, the Essex side ahead of Cambridge City Ladies on goal difference. Brentwood winning on the road this Sunday away to AFC Sudbury Ladies, Marie Barker scoring for the 1st time this season from Brentwood along with a brace for Georgia Holdaway taking her into double figures for the season seeing Brentwood clinch victory 3-0.
Cambridge City Ladies maintained their own excellent start to the campaign with a late winner at home to Wymondham Town Ladies on Sunday to make it 4 from 4 in the ERWFL Premier Division. A close contest saw the visitors open the scoring midway through the 1st half Jorja Patterson sending the ball past the keeper to make it 1-0. Cambridge City coming back to level through an own goal and chances to take the lead were denied with Wymondham goalkeeper Ashleigh O’Callaghan making some vita saves. Cambridge City though went on to score a late winner to keep up their 100% record, Laura Mills arriving at the far post to turn the ball in to win the game 2-1.
2-1 also the winning score for 3rd placed Acle United Women as they maintain the pressure on the leaders 2 points the gap, the Brentwood and Cambridge City. Were on the road up against Coley Heath Ladies on Sunday. Grace Birchall scoring in the 1st half to give the Norfolk side the advantage, Acle defending their goal advantage going into the final 10 minutes were awarded a free-kick the ball sent in to the box hitting the post before Birchall turned the rebound in to make it 2-0 to Acle. Colney Heath aggrieved at some decisions made were awarded a penalty deep into stoppage time, Lucy Hancock converting to score.
Peterborough Northern Star Ladies are now up to 5th in the ERWFL Premier Division table having now collected 7 points from their last 3 league games a 2nd successive win coming at home on Sunday against AFC Dunstable Ladies. A single goal enough to win all 3 points, Vicky Gallagher with her 1st goal of the season securing the victory for Peterborough Northern Star.

St Ives Town Ladies move up into 2nd spot in ERWFL Division One, unbeaten at the start of the season won for the 3rd time at home to Hertford Town Ladies on Sunday, the Cambridgeshire Premiership winners playing Hertford Town Ladies at home for the 2nd successive Sunday. A 5-0 win in the 1st Round of the League Cup last time out. A brace each for Georgia & Katie Stancombe seeing St Ives Town secure the league win 4-1 this time around.

Also newly promoted to ERWFL Division One from the Cambridgeshire Premiership are Newmarket Town Ladies, a 3rd league win seeing them join St Ives Town Ladies on 10 points in 3rd place in the table following a 3rd successive league win unbeaten in 4 now. Were away to Bishops Stortford Ladies on Sunday. A brace from Jess Linger seeing her open her goals account for Newmarket this season with Lauren Deller and Hannah Rogers also with her 1st Newmarket goal seeing the visitors return home with a 4-1 win. Heather Martin with the goal on the stroke of half-time for Bishops Stortford.
A more comfortable scoreline to one they’ve been used to for King’s Lynn Town Ladies on Sunday as they win for the 3rd time this season too away to Hatfield Peverel Ladies. Tiffany Forshaw deciding she’d not going to let Oksana Imanalijeva runaway with the goals scoring a double hat-trick to take her onto 8 for the season. Imanalijeva just ahead with 9 as she scored another goal. Rochelle Woods also getting on the scoresheet along with Annie Rooks netting her 1st King’s Lynn goal in a 9-0 victory. Now 5th on 9 points along with 4th placed Hutton Ladies.
All very tight in ERWFL Division One two more sides moving onto 9 points in the middle of the table, Bowers & Pitsea Ladies were entertaining Histon Ladies on Sunday, the Essex side winning for the 3rd time this season a goal scored in each half by Sophie Dowman and Danielle Styles seeing Bowers & Pitsea win 2-0.
Also on 9 points in 7th are Lawford Ladies unbeaten now in 3 in the league after their opening day loss. The newly promoted Essex side were at home in the league on Sunday taking on Hoddesdon Town Owls Ladies. Jasmine Cox moving onto 8 goals scoring a brace. Both Erin Hornby and Jessica Collinson also scoring in the match both their 1st goals of the season. Winning 4-1. Lawford taking a 2nd minute lead were pegged back just 4 minutes later as Rosy Woodhams equalised for Hoddesdon. Lawford scoring late in the 2nd half wrapping up the 3 points striking twice in the final 10 minutes of the game.
