Suffolk Women’s League Cup
Just the 2 games in Suffolk this Sunday but they were HUGE! The semi-finals of this season’s Women’s League Cup, won by Ipswich Town Ladies Development last season a new name will be on the trophy this time around.
East Bergholt United Ladies reached the final last season at the expense of there semi-final opponents this Sunday Bacton United Ladies. A contest between 1st and 2nd in the league too with East Bergholt the host side. Leading 2-0 at half-time East Bergholt United went on to score twice more in the 2nd half to reach their 2nd successive League Cup final with a 4-0 win. Jessica Clark scoring twice in the match there were goals to for Annie Northwood and Millie Wilding.
In the other semi-final Coplestonians Ladies were hosting AFC Kesgrave Ladies new to the league this season both looking to reach the League Cup final for the 1st time. The visitors scoring through Ashley Bustos, Jade Fox and Daisy Starsmoore to win the game 3-0 and see Kesgrave reach the final in their debut season.
Date and venue for the Suffolk Women’s League Cup final to be announced. Usually a mid-week affair will update as soon as I have the information. Well done to both East Bergholt United and AFC Kesgrave Ladies.
