Were taking on fellow newly promoted side, Kirkley & Pakefield FC Ladies at Walmer Road. Were 6-0 in front by half-time going on to rack up a double figure scoreline. No surprise to see striker Luci Middleton amongst the goals netting 4 this Sunday her tally 12 goals from 4 games played so far. Sister Hope Middleton has 6 goals from 4 matches too after she came off the bench to score a brace. Emma Allsopp, Alice Wardle, Rachel Bussey and Alicia Lacey with a goal each for North Walsham final score 10-0.
Thorpe United Ladies continue their 100% winning start to the season 3 wins from 3 having seen last weekends game against Kirkley & Pakefield FC Ladies called off were on the road this weekend taking on Bungay Town Ladies at Maltings Meadow, had control of the game by half-time with a 3-0 lead going on to score 3 more goals 2nd half, captain Rebekah Lake with a hat-trick, with goals too from Sharnie Boast and Cecelia Liu both making her 1st starts of the season with Charlotte Groves also getting a goal. Bungay Town pulled a goal back in the 2nd half, Lauren Purling netting it final score 6-1.
Brandon Town Ladies got their 1st league win of the season under their belts last weekend at home to Bungay Town Ladies. Started October with an away trip to Clipbush Park to play Fakenham Town Ladies. Held a narrow 1-0 lead at half-time. Brandon Town Ladies going on to take the 3 points winning the game 3-1, 3 different goalscorers, Billie Nolan, Ruby Robertson and Millie Bales. Same for Kings Lynn Town Ladies recovering from a heavy opening day defeat, recorded their 1st league victory and 3 points last Sunday beating North Walsham Angels Ladies away from home, were on home turf this weekend at the Riverlane Playing Fields taking on Aylsham FC Ladies. Captain Shelley Woods (pictured) scored a hat-trick in the game with Jordan Turner adding a brace. Rebecca Russell also with a goal to her name in a 6-1 win to see Kings Lynn Town Ladies up to 4th in the table. Sophie Burr-Walpole scoring in the 1st half for Aylsham FC Ladies.
Norfolk Women’s Division Two
Two matches in Norfolk Women’s Division Two this Sunday, Sprowston Ladies having sat last weekend out rejoin Gorleston FC Ladies on 9 points at the top of the table as they continue with their 100% winning start to the season 3 from 3 were at home to Stalham Town Ladies winning the match 2-0.
Long Stratton Ladies climb up to 3rd in the table as they win for the successive game following a 2-1 away win against Stalham Town Ladies to pick up their 1st 3 points of the season last Sunday were at home against Bohemians Ladies this Sunday, edged the win 2-1 again with goals from Charlie Head and Emily Watts to move onto 6 points. Ellie Blaxell with the goal for Bohemians Ladies.
Norfolk Women’s Division Three
Two games also in Norfolk Women’s Division Three at the weekend. Wymondham Town Ladies new reserves side hadn’t been in action since the opening day 4-0 home win over Freethorpe Ladies. Travelled to play Toftwood United Ladies this Sunday have a strong squad this season with some of the players who helped to win the Norfolk Division One title not wanting to or able to commit to the extra travelling the 1st team has to do now it has been promoted to the Eastern Region Women’s Football League. That strength in depth proved too much for Toftwood as Sally Hammerton (pictured) getting her 1st competitive minutes under her belt netted 4 goals. Gemma Hamilton scoring a hat-trick to add to the 2 goals she scored against Freethorpe. Kelly Ayers netting a brace also with Laura Nicholls adding a goal to the scoreline a 10-1 victory, Katie Hart scoring the consolation for Toftwood United Ladies.
Tavern Ladies had started the season with 2 derby game draws against Toftwood United Ladies. At home for the 3rd successive league game the Dereham based side were taking on Cromer Town Ladies this weekend. Rianna Scott scoring a hat-trick with Natalie Merry and Lucy Kean both scoring to see Tavern build on the 2 draws with their 1st win of the season the 3 points seeing them up to 3rd in the table.

ERWFL Premier Division
Both Bedford Ladies and Haringey Borough Women have begun the season fantastically well winning all 5 of their opening league fixtures, seemed their was no stopping them so it’s a surprise to see both drop their 1st points of the season in the 1st weekend of October.
Haringey Borough Women were at home taking on newly promoted side Royston Town Ladies who have picked their 1st 3 points in the league in their last league game after starting with 3 straight defeats. A tough trip to the league leaders on Sunday however they came away with a confidence boosting result winning the game by a single goal to take the 3 points, Stephanie Hicks with the goal to her name. Haringey Borough Women losing their 100% record.
Bedford Ladies having made it 5 wins from 5 too also drop their 1st points of the season, although they hold onto their unbeaten record go top of the table by a single point after being held to a draw away to Billericay Town Ladies. The final score 2-2, Billericay Town Ladies goals coming courtesy of Frances Murphy and Sophie Whiting. Kaiya Gunn and Eden Kibron on target for Bedford Ladies.
Points dropped for the leading pair, gave an opportunity for the chasing sides to take advantage and close the gap. 3rd placed Acle United Ladies did just that as they won to move level on points with Haringey Borough Women. A long away trip to play bottom side Great Wakering Rovers Ladies a brace from Amber Rowland plus a goal for Jody Wells saw them take the points in a 3-1 win.
Wasn’t to be the case for 4th placed AFC Sudbury Ladies as they lost out on the road at Brentwood Town Ladies who pick up their 2nd league win of the season. Leah Cowan scoring both the Essex sides goals in a narrow 2-1 win to climb up to 6th in the table. Rebecca Thrower scoring AFC Sudbury Ladies goal.
AFC Dunstable Ladies stay 5th in the table after they were held to a 3-3 draw away to Colchester Town Ladies, who despite rescuing a point late on slip to 2nd bottom in the Premier Division table. Charlotte South handed Dunstable the lead on the half hour mark. Maigh Downey scoring for Colchester 7 minutes later to see the sides go into the changing room level at half-time. Nancy Butler giving Colchester the lead within a minute of the 2nd half starting. 2 goals in 4 minutes on 61 and 65 minutes saw Dunstable go level then take a 3-2 lead Bethany Stanton and Danielle Carty with the goals. Colchester pressed on looking for a goal were rewarded late into the game Chloe Dunn scoring a minute into injury time to secure a point.
Drop a place in the table as Histon Ladies win for the 2nd time this season to pull away from the foot of the table. At home at the Glassworld Stadium were playing Writtle Ladies who took the lead after a goalless 1st half hour, Sophie Vale netting the goal on 35 minutes. The lead lasted just 3 minutes with Sophie Lanham scoring for Histon Ladies to see the sides level at half-time. Vale was to put Writtle back into the lead 5 minutes into the 2nd half. Histon came back into the game and with 2 goals in 3 minutes went in front. Sophie Hopkin with the leveller on 62 minutes was quickly followed by a goal from Alison Wright to make it 3-2. Histon going on to win the game.
ERWFL Division One
100% win records may have been lost in the ERWFL Premier Division at the weekend, but in Division One, leaders Cambridge City Ladies maintain there 100% winning start to the season making it 5 wins from 5 on Sunday, although they left it very very late to take the 3 points away to Little Thurrock Dynamos Ladies. Goals from Georgia Fraser for Little Thurrock and Rachel Pearce for Cambridge City saw the scores level at half-time. 2nd half it remained locked at 1-1, Little Thurrock looking like they might take the 1st points off the leader this season lost out late on in the 90th Cambridge City going on to win 2-1 with an own goal to maintain their 100% record.
Wymondham Town Ladies keep up the pressure on the leaders in Division One ready to pounce if they should drop points, 2 the gap as they win for the 4th time this season to move onto 13 points. An away trip to Essex to play Silver End United Ladies. The scores level at 1-1 at half-time, Lynsey Bowman scoring for Silver End United, Laura Wiseman on target for Wymondham Town. Wiseman netted her 2nd goal of the game for Wymondham Town a minute into the 2nd half. Silver End United levelling it again Jodie Osborne making it 2-2 like the Little Thurrock/Cambridge City match it looked to be heading for a draw until the last minute. Wymondham Town were awarded a penalty kick. Amber Cantwell lifting the spot kick into the back of the net to see the visitors leave Essex with 3 more points.

3rd placed Offley & Stopsley Ladies got back to winning ways on Sunday after losing to Cambridge City Ladies last weekend. Were playing Stevenage Ladies Reserves. Picked up the 3 points with a comfortable 5-0 win Giselle Randall with a brace. Rianne Townsend-Brown, Camille Stephens and Rachael Lewis with the other 3 goals to move Offley & Stopsley onto 11 points.
A 2nd successive win in the ERWFL Division One sees Hutton Ladies propelled up the table into 4th place. A big home win at the weekend against newly promoted Hertford Town Ladies. Rianne Dimmock scoring a hat-trick. A brace too for Keely Walker with a goal a piece for Laura Allen, Amy Crumpler and Kristi McLeavy in an 8-2 win. Freya Rampley netting 1st half for Hertford Town Ladies, Kerry Oldham 2nd half haven’t won since the opening day of the season.
In the final game to cover in the ERWFL in Division One, 5th placed Colney Heath Ladies came from behind away to Ipswich Wanderers Ladies on Sunday to win for their 3rd successive league game. Michelle Allum-Taylor had given the home side a 1-0 lead at half-time. Holly Sheridan levelling things up early for the visitors in the 2nd half before going on to score the winning goal and see Colney Heath win 2-1.

FAWPL Southern Division
Coventry United Ladies take over at the top of the FAWPL Southern Division courtesy of goals scored over Tottenham Hotspur Ladies as they started October with a win at home against newly promoted Swindon Town Ladies. It wasn’t until late in the 1st half that the deadlock was broken, Jade Brook finding the target on the 40th minute to send Coventry United Ladies into the lead. Alison Hall struck soon afterwards netting on the 43rd minute to put them 2-0 at half-time. Swindon Town Ladies are adjusting to life in the higher division and aren’t easy to break down, pulled a goal back with 15 minutes left, Samantha Hallsworth getting her name on the scoresheet. Couldn’t find another Coventry with 4 straight league wins in the league following an opening day draw move to the top of the table.

That is because previous pace setters, Tottenham Hotspur Ladies drop their 1st points of the season after they were held to a 1-1 draw at home to C&K Basildon Ladies. The visitors held the advantage at the break, Lily Mellors with the goal inside the opening 15 minutes. Pushing for an equaliser Tottenham found it hard to break down the opposition until the 63rd minute, Riana Soobadoo hitting the ball from distance a low drive that found it’s way into the bottom corner. Stay unbeaten at the start of the season matching Coventry’s record edged off top spot by goals scored.
Charlton Athletic Women are without prolific striker Gemma Shepherd who requires a hip operation to get her back to fitness and playing the game she loves. Without Shepherd, 3rd placed Charlton were away this weekend taking on West Ham United Ladies. A goal on 10 minutes from Kit Graham put the visitors in front, held the narrow advantage at half-time, Graham going on to score her 2nd goal in the 2nd half on the 68th minute to see Charlton win 2-0 and join the leading pair on 13 points at the top.
Crystal Palace Ladies continue to enjoy a good start to life in the FAWPL Southern Division since promotion last season in 4th place they were at home at Bromley FC on Sunday taking on Portsmouth FC Ladies who have bolstered their squad with a busy month coming up by signing Brighton trio, Charley Boswell, Lisa Fulgence and Kate Natkiel on loan. The latter starting with Boswell and Fulgence on the bench. Crystal Palace took an early lead Gemma Bryan scoring inside 2 minutes to put them ahead. Extended their lead with 5 minutes to go in the 2nd half Rochelle Shakes with the strike. Couldn’t break the visitors down 2nd half 2-0 the lead until late in the game Portsmouth pulling a goal back in the 90th minute, Sarah Kempson’s goal not enough to get anything from the match, Crystal Palace taking the 3 points putting them 2 points behind the leading trio.
Chasing them all hard with an unbeaten record in the league are Cardiff City Ladies the Welsh side travelling to The Honeycroft on Sunday to play bottom side Queens Park Rangers Ladies still looking for their 1st goal and point of the season. Cardiff City took the lead late in the 2nd half a goal from Cori Williams the advantage at half-time. 2nd half brought some good news fr Queens Park Rangers as they welcomed their captain Elly Maggs back to the action after an injury lay-off coming on as a half-time substitute, that was followed by Alexandra Nord scoring their 1st league goal of the season levelling thing’s up on 49 minutes. Cardiff City came back to finish the 2nd half strongly Kerry Bartlett scoring to put them back into the lead with 20 minutes left. Barlett then went on to complete her hat-trick see Cardiff City win 4-1 to move onto 10 points from 4 played in 5th spot in the table.
FAWPL South East Division One
High scoring wins for all of the sides currently in the top half of the FAWPL South East Division One table. AFC Wimbledon Ladies continue their excellent start to the season the newly promoted side making it 6 wins from 6 with a home win on Sunday against fellow promoted side Stevenage Ladies. A strong 1st half display saw them leading 3-0, Emma Keady setting the ball rolling on 12 minutes. Kelly-Jade Whelan and Hannah Searle both adding to the scoresheet on 35 and 40 minutes. Laura Low adding a 4th goal 15 minutes into the 2nd half saw them in 4-0.
Elsewhere it was carnage in front of goal with the rest of the games seeing at least 5 goals scored that the winning tally in all the games. 2nd placed Cambridge United WFC 3 points behind AFC Wimbledon ladies were on the road on Sunday playing Denham United Ladies. New signing Rosie Kmita strike on 4 minutes found the back of the net to give Cambridge the early lead. It wasn’t to last long as Chantelle Lawrence levelled it up with a long range drive just 3 minutes later. 1-1 the score at the break, Cambridge were to turn it on 2nd half with a dominant display retaking the lead just 2 minutes in as they were awarded a spot kick, captain Laura Bright scoring from the penalty. Nicole Perschky made it 3-1 on the 60th minute. 2 more goals coming in the final 10 minutes Emma Jenkins and Dawn Mallett with the goals.
Luton Town Ladies followed up a 2-1 midweek win at Kenilworth Road under the lights against Milton Keynes Dons Ladies with a convincing win away to Enfield Town Ladies on Sunday to move into 3rd spot in the South East Division One table. Jess McKay opening the scoring in the 1st half, Joanna Rutherford adding 2 more goals before half-time. McKay added another goal to her total in the 2nd half. The final score 5-0 to the visiting side the last goal of the afternoon courtesy of 16 year old Jodie Southby making her 1st start for the club.
I was at North Greenford United FC on Sunday covering the South East Division One game between Actonians Ladies & Norwich City Ladies for the Supporting Women’s Football Blog and I was treated to a 9 goal thriller. Not that you’d have predicted that at half-time as the home side went into the dressing room with a 4-1 lead, came back despite Norwich City taking an early lead, Natasha Snelling lining up a shot from the wing to dip under the bar to take the lead. Carla Williams got Actonians back on level turns putting a 25 yard shot home across the keeper. Sinthujah Sooriyakumar with the held of a deflection into the net off a Norwich City defender gave the home side the lead. On top for a large spell in the 1st half 2 more goals followed, Hannah Olofsson allowed time and space to shoot from outside the area and Katrina Marshalleck with the goals.

A totally different 2nd half Norwich City coming onto Actonians inside there own half fought their way back into the game. Chelsea Garrett pulling it back to 4-2 as the ball is fed into her run into the box. Paige Shorten made it 4-3 over a free kick inside the Actonians half her ball lifted up into the area, skipping up unexpectedly high off the surface to fly up over goalkeeper Naomi Swift and into the back of the net. The comeback complete as Kyla Love comes forwards with the ball for Norwich lets fly from distance her shot in glanced across the six yard box by a defender wrong-footing the goalkeeper and going into the back of the net. The celebrations were shot lived however as Actonians came straight back into it scoring off the restart to regain the lead, the ball into Williams turns and lobs the advancing keeper the ball bouncing into the back of the net beyond, 5-4 the final score Actonians move up to 4th in the table. Milton Keynes Dons Ladies climb up to 5th in the table recovering from their midweek loss away to Luton to win at home on Sunday, dump Ipswich Town Ladies out of the top half in the process the Suffolk side making the trip to Newport Pagnell FC at the weekend. Heather McDonnell giving Milton Keynes Dons Ladies the lead on the 22nd minute Leah Cudone doubled the advantage 4 minutes later. Jade Henry pulled a goal back late in the 1st half to close the advantage to 2-1 at half-time. A good start to the 2nd half for the visitors with Roxanne Small on target just 2 minutes into the 2nd half to level thing’s up at 2-2. Ipswich Town Ladies then got themselves into the lead Hollie Clement on target to make it 3-2. The lead didn’t last long Milton Keynes Dons awarded a penalty kick McDonnell stepping up to score her 2nd of the match. Into the last 5 minutes and the home side score again McDonnell completing her hat-trick on the 85th minute, Hannah Barrett added another goal a minute later to see Milton Keynes Dons win 5-3.
Gillingham FC Ladies the other side this weekend to win scoring 5 goals along the way continue their unbeaten start to the season, were at home playing Lowestoft Town Ladies. Felicity Gibbons broke the deadlock for Gillingham scoring on 28 minutes the lead 2-o at half-time thanks to an own goal. Gibbons added her 2nd of the game 2 minutes into the 2nd half. Lowestoft Town pulled a goal back 3 minutes later captain Hannah Waters making it 3-1. Gillingham pulling further into the lead as the game moved into the final 10 minutes 2nd half substitute Kallie Balfour scoring 2 goals on 81 minutes and in injury time to seal a 5-1 victory.
Lawford Ladies continue to set the early pace in the Essex Women’s Premier Division winning on Sunday to make it 3 wins from 3. The winning margin a narrow one however at home to Runwell Sports Ladies edging the result in a 7 goal thriller 4-3 to take all the points.
Eastern Avenue are also unbeaten at the start of the season, following a an opening day draw with a win last Sunday were away to Alresford Colne Rangers this Sunday. Liane Prior amongst the goals as the visitors recorded a 5-0 win to move onto 7 points.
Right behind them on 6 points after the weekends results are Chelmsford City Ladies making it 2 wins from 2 following an opening 7-2 win against Alresford Colne Rangers scored 7 goals once again on the road taking on Hutton Ladies Reserves. Lisa Overall netting herself a hat-trick with both Laura Kendle and Angela Holden both scoring 2 goals up to 3rd in the table.

Essex Women’s Division One
At the top of the Essex Women’s Division One table, new side Corringham Cosmos are enjoying a great start to the season winning their 3rd league game no Sunday to maintain their 100% winning start to the league. Were at home this Sunday hosting another side going into the match with a 100% winning start Harlow Town Ladies Reserves. A comfortable win for Corringham Cosmos in the end scoring 6 to win 6-1 and move onto 9 points.
FC Clacton Ladies new to the league this season began their league campaign with a 3-0 home loss to another new name in the league, Frontiers Ladies last Sunday. This weekend they made the journey to Waltham Forest Ladies and like Frontiers and Corringham Cosmos won by a huge margin racking up the goals in a 28-0 win to get their 1st league points.
Abi Challis, Ayo Okunuga, Emily Kendle and Kayla-Marie Everett were all on target for Chelmsford City Ladies Reserves in a 4-1 win at home against Southend Town Ladies to pick up their 1st 3 points of the season after suffering 2 successive defeats in their opening league matches.
Wickford Town Ladies new Reserves side began their Division One campaign at the weekend starting with a win away to new side Benfleet Villa Ladies. 3 players all scoring a brace in a 6-0 victory.
Another two sides new to the league this season began their season on Sunday in Division One with Hatfield Peveral Ladies hosting Collier Row Athletic. It was the home side who celebrated an opening game win. The goals coming in the 2nd half Christa Osman netting Hatfield Peveral’s 1st goal on 65 minutes 5 minutes later Osman added a 2nd goal from the penalty spot. Rosie Robinson scoring for the home side on the 80th minute. Final score 3-1.
The season has barely gotten started in the Cambridgeshire Women’s Premiership with just a handful of games to date 4 sides with a game under their belts going into this weekend, 3 more getting their season started this Sunday. Cambridge United WFC Reserves with alot on new faces in their squad this season suffered a defeat on the opening weekend going down 2-1 to newly promoted St Ives Town Ladies. Were at home this Sunday taking on another new side to the Premiership, Bourne Ladies finishing as Championship North Champions last season. Was a debut in the higher tier they will want to forget, Cambridge United WFC Reserves proving too strong an opponent on the day playing at their new home, Barton Recreation Ground. Ebony Rule finding the back of the net for 4 goals with Lauren Gibson bagging herself a hat-trick. Teonie Payton scored her 1st 2 competitive goals for the club too as well as Gabrielle Whitehurst netting her 1st goal too in a 10-0 that moves them into top spot in the table.
St Ives Town Ladies were on the road on Sunday playing Netherton United Ladies at The Grange. Netherton had lost their opening game of the season by a single goal against Newmarket Town Ladies. Got their 1st 3 points on the board winning the game 3-0. Jenna Harn, Georgina Parrett and Megan Parrett with their goals.
Park Ladies were making their Premiership debut on Sunday promoted as Championship South Champions in their 1st season joining the Cambridgeshire women’s football leagues. Were on home soil welcoming Bar Hill Ladies also starting their league season. Goals from Hollie Dare, captain Lucy Goddard, Anna Jephson and Laura Spaxman seeing the visitors start with a win the final score 4-1.
Cambridgeshire Women’s Championship North
Wisbech St Marys Ladies continued their excellent start to the season in the Championship North making it 3 wins from 3 away to P&L Motors Diamonds on Sunday. Not that they were given an easy 3 points by the home side who found the back of the net 3 times, Nicola Anderson, Emma Pollard and Tia Vacca all on target. Lauren Laws and Charlie Knight scoring in the 1st half for Wisbech St Marys Ladies, Knight went on to add her 2nd of the game early in the 2nd half. 2 goals inside the last 10 minutes seeing the away side to victory, Laws netting her 2nd of the match on 84 minutes, Frances Peeling scoring 2 minutes later, final score 5-3.
Keeping pace with Wisbech St Marys Ladies at the top of the Championship North table are, Ketton Ladies who also have a record of 3 wins from 3 to start the season. Were playing at home at the weekend taking on Hungate Rovers Ladies. Fran Kavanagh scored twice with Emma Ward also finding the back of the net in a 3-0 win.
March Town United Ladies finished runners-up in the Championship North last season got off to a winning start away to Wisbech Town Ladies last Sunday beating them 2-1. Were at home this Sunday taking on new side Boston United Ladies who had started life in the Championship North with a heavy defeat. Not such a high scoreline this time around March Town United Ladies making it 2 wins from 2 with a 2-0 victory. Louise Barbour and Adele Munday with the goals.
Cambridgeshire Women’s Championship South
In the Championship South, Cambridge City Ladies new development side are matching their 1st team playing the the ERWFL Division One this season with a 100% winning start to the season playing their 3rd league match were at home to Newmarket Town Ladies Reserves on Sunday. Bella Simmons scoring a brace, Saskia Capetti and Erin Walusimbi also grabbing a goal each in a 4-0 win to make it 3 wins from 3.
Moving into 2nd spot in the Championship South table are, Milton Ladies as they made it 2 wins from 2 recording a huge win at home to Orton Rangers Ladies. Kirsty Lemmon-Sparkes bagging herself a double hat-trick. There were hat-tricks too for Sam Cousins, Dora Dixon and Olivia Thorogood with Carly Dawson getting a brace in a whopping 18-0 win.
Laura McAllister scored twice for Isleham United Ladies to see them climb up to 3rd in the Championship South table following a 2-1 home win over Riverside Rovers Ladies Reserves who were starting their league season on Sunday.
After suffering a 6-0 loss away to Cambridge City Ladies Development as they began there Championship South campaign last Sunday, Fulbourn Bluebirds bounced back with a home win to get their 1st 3 points on the board this time around coming out on top in a narrow 3-2 win over Cambridge Rangers, Sharron Pinner scoring 2 goals with the 3rd scored by Katie Luddy.
After losing their opening fixture of the season 9-2 away to early table toppers Thorpe United Ladies, Kings Lynn Town Ladies have had to wait a fortnight to play their next competitive game in Division One. Were on the road again taking on 2nd placed North Walsham Angels Ladies who have won both their opening league games scoring 6 goals in each since winning promotion to the top tier of women’s football in the county. Were at their new home North Walsham High School. Luci & Hope Middleton have been amongst the goals at the start of the season, both scored again on Sunday one in each half. King’s Lynn Town Ladies took the 3 points getting their 1st win of the season under their belts, Josie Turner (pictured) scoring a hat-trick with Shelley Woods also grabbing a goal in a 4-2 victory.
Brandon Town Ladies & Bungay Town Ladies had lost their opening weekend fixtures, were involved in the Women’s FA Cup 2nd Round Qualifying last Sunday both advancing in the competition. Bungay Town Ladies with a 3-1 win away to Bishops Stortford Ladies. Brandon Town Ladies without kicking a ball after opponents Great Wakering Ladies pulled out of the competition. Faced each other at the weekend with Bungay Town Ladies travelling to Brandon.The score was level at 2-2 at half-time. More goals followed 2nd half Bungay scoring a 3rd goal, Brandon going on to score 2 more to win the match 4-3 to take the 3 points. Millie Bales with a brace for Brandon plus a goal for captain Tiffany Forshaw. Emily Leach netting a brace for Bungay with Inna Marx also on target.
The match between Aylsham FC Ladies and Fakenham Town Ladies was abandoned just after half-time with the score 2-2 after a collision between two players lead to a worrying injury. Fakenham’s Karina Townsend was taken to hospital however the injury isn’t as bad as 1st feared bruised and battered a spinal injury a two week lay off from football, wish er well in her recovery.
Norfolk Women’s Division Two
Norfolk Women’s Division Two is where the Supporting Women’s Football Blog, match report from the weekend comes a trip to watch Briston Wanderers Ladies a new name this season for an old team the new club having formerly been the Red Rose Ladies 1st team. A change needed the club were playing their 1st competitive fixture at home taking on Gorleston FC Ladies newly promoted to Division 2 as Division 3 Champions, have started the season well 2 wins from 2. Got off to a flyer against Briston, Beth Turner (pictured below) put clear by Hannah Croft to score on the break. Briston didn’t take long to reply, Anna Ohde scoring a bullet of a header from a well taken corner her 1st goal ever. Drama then as Gorleston were reduced to 10 players, Jennifer Snell kicking out at an opponent receiving a straight red. Briston took the lead Sophie Tipper scoring from the penalty spot as Sophie Lubbock was tripped in the box. Late in the 1st half Millie Brook cleared the ball for Gorleston setting up Turner to go on a run up the left into the box and send the ball into the back of the net.
All square at 2-2 at the break, Briston get back in front early on the 2nd half, Stacey High chipping the ball over the keeper from outside the box. Again Gorleston came back to level, captain Hayley Muir allowed to carry the ball up field from the back letting fly from inside the D sending her effort in over the keeper to make it 3-3. Despite having 10 players Gorleston went on to take the lead Turner completing her hat-trick with a header off a corner to make it 4-3. Bohemians Ladies were awarded a home win against Harleston Town Ladies in Division 2. Long Sratton Ladies were on the road playing their 2nd league game of the season having lost their 1st at home to Sprowston Ladies last Sunday their opponents, Stalham Town Ladies. The visitors got their 1st 3 point haul coming away with a narrow 2-1 win. Charlie Head and Taylor Whiting with the goals to their name.
Norfolk Women’s Division Three
In Norfolk Women’s Division 3, new side East Coast Ladies were playing for the 2nd time this season having won 11-0 in their 1st ever competitive game were at home playing Freethorpe Ladies on Sunday. Another convincing win sees them go clear at the top of the table, Paige Baker with 2, as well as Rosie Cook with goals too from Abbie Knights and Victoria Ottey seeing East Coast Ladies win 7-0.
For the 2nd successive Sunday it was a Dereham derby with Tavern Ladies hosting Toftwood United Ladies at Northgate High School. That game ended all square a 1-1. Toftwood United Ladies held the advantage at half-time leading 2-0. Tavern Ladies came back 2nd half, Roxy Coomber and Lucy Kean scoring to see the game finished all square once again at 2-2.
Bedford Ladies and Haringey Borough Women continue to set a ruthless pace at the top of the ERWFL Premier Division both on the road this Sunday return home with the 3 points with a 100% win record 5 from 5. Goal difference has kept Haringey from going above Bedford to lead the table that changed thus weekend as the club travelled up to the Glassworld Stadium to play Histon Ladies. Brooke Hills netted a hat-trick for Haringey with Anele Komani, Klesha Darroua and Jessica Appeagyei all getting on the scoresheet too in a 6-0 victory.
Bedford Ladies were away to Writtle Ladies on Sunday, held a narrow lead at half-time 1-0 the advantage. Went on to win the match 2-1 Maya Sidhu with the goal to keep their 100% win record in tack, slip to 2nd for the 1st time this season on goal difference. Leanne Stubbings with the goal for Writtle Ladies in 6th place in the table.
Acle United Ladies keep up the pace behind the leading pair 3 points the gap as they won big at home on Sunday taking on Colchester United Ladies. Not that they got off to the best start, Georgia Box scoring the opening goal of the game for Colchester inside the opening 5 minutes. Acle weren’t behind for long however, Anna Larkins with the goal on 9 minutes. Player coach Joanne Hooper got Acle in front making it 2-1 on 18 minutes. Colchester came back to level 3 minutes before half-time a penalty awarded, Miagh Downey putting the back in from the spot. Acle found time for another goal late in the 1st half Kate Pasque on the scoresheet to make it 3-2 to Acle at half-time. A stronger 2nd half from the home side Jody Wells extending their lead on 59 minutes. Captain Rebecca Burton and Kelly Gray grabbed a goal each too the final score 6-2.
In 4th place in the ERWFL Premier Division table, AFC Sudbury won their 3rd match in a row scoring 3 goals, a 3-2 away win against Writtle Ladies followed by a 3-0 win at Colchester in the FA Women’s Cup last Sunday were at home this time around taking on Billericay Town Ladies their good form continuing 3-0 again the winning margin, Mia Etheridge, Stacey Teager and Charlene Roach with the goals.
2 goals from Amber Pearson saw AFC Dunstable to the 3 points at Creasey Park on Sunday. At home taking on Brentwood Town Ladies both the goals were scored in the 2nd half to see AFC Dunstable hold on to 5th place in the Premier Division table.
ERWFL Division One
Cambridge City Ladies are the pace setters in ERWFL Division One the newly promoted side with 3 wins from 3 to start the season were on the road at the weekend in a clash between 1st versus 2nd, Offley & Stopsley Ladies also with an unbeaten start at the start of the season with 2 wins and 2 draws. Goals from Sarah Mosley, Grace Stanley and Izzy Broadbent saw Cambridge City Ladies continue their 100% winning start to the season move onto 12 points whilst bringing Offley & Stopsley Ladies unbeaten start to an end.
Having lost their opening day fixture, Wymondham Town Ladies are now unbeaten in 5 games in league and cup winning the last 3 in a row to move back into 2nd spot in the ERWFL Division One table. Taking on Little Thurrock Dynamos Ladies for the 2nd time this season having been pegged back late on to draw 3-3 in the away fixture were at home at Kings Head Meadow on Sunday. Bethany Fretwell having scored her 1st goal for the club in last Sunday’s 7-2 Women’s FA Cup win away to Newmarket Town Ladies scored another inside the opening 5 minutes this time around. Gemma Sanders on 21 minutes then Laura Wiseman on 27 minutes added to the goals for the home side. Kayleigh Holloway with Wymondham’s 4th goal with 10 minutes left in the 1st half. Went on to win the game 4-1. Danielle Styles with the goal for Little Thurrock Dynamos Ladies.
ERWFL League Cup
This Sunday also saw 3 ties being played in the ERWFL League Cup 1st Round. ERWFL Division One side, Silver End United Ladies reached the final of the competition in their debut season in the ERWFL losing out to Colchester Town Ladies to finish runners-up. Were in action on the 1st Round this season away to Stevenage Ladies Reserves. Silver End United Ladies got off to a fantastic start at the Coldicote Social Club Rebecca Hollocks putting them ahead on 15 minutes 5 minutes later the visitors led 3-0, Sophie Burder with both the goals, Jodie Osborne giving Silver end a 4-0 lead late in the 1st half. Stevenage Ladies Reserves rallied 2nd half Bolu Fisher and Rosy Wodhams scoring to get it back to 4-2. 10 minutes from time Lynsey Bowman scored a 5th goal for Silver End United Ladies to see them through to the 2nd Round where they will be at home to Colney Heath Ladies.
Silver End United Ladies, Rebecca Hollocks
A Kelly Hancock goal was enough to see Colney Heath Ladies through to the 2nd Round of the ERWFL League Cup on Sunday. A tough away tie at Hutton Ladies the solitary strike seeing them advance in the competition.
Ipswich Wanderers Ladies are also into the 2nd Round of the ERWFL League Cup with a 6-1 victory away to Hoddesdon Town Ladies at the weekend. 2 goals from Michelle Taylor-Allum, plus goals from Charlotte Pittman, Kimberley Rex, Laura Tuley and Kristie Turner. Hanna Kelly with the goal for Hoddesdon Town Ladies. Ipswich Wanderers Ladies will be at home to Cambridge City Ladies in the 2nd Round on the 30th October.
Not too many games in the FAWPL this weekend, a couple of league games in both the FAWPL Southern and South East Division One. Attention elsewhere was in the cup competitions the Cup and Plate with the 1st Round ties taking place. Most clubs given a bye to the 2nd Round, just a handful of ties taking place in both.
FAWPL Southern Division
It was a clash of two unbeaten sides in the FAWPL Southern Division on Sunday with 2nd placed Charlton Athletic Women hosting 4th placed Coventry United Ladies. Kit Graham opened the scoring putting Charlton 1-0 up inside 10 minutes. Marie Gauntlett found the back of the net for Coventry 6 minutes later to equalise. On the half hour mark the visitors took the lead, Alison Hall putting the 2-1 in front. 2nd half Coventry went on to dominate the scoreline Gauntlett (pictured below) adding her 2nd goal 3 minutes into the 2nd half going on to score a hat-trick. Hall adding another goal in the last 5 minutes to see Coventry win 5-1 and move above Charlton into 2nd spot in the Southern Division table.
Cardiff City Ladies move up to 5th in the FAWPL Southern Division after a 2-1 home win over C&K Basildon Ladies on Sunday.Chloe Chivers scoring the Welsh sides opening goal in the 7th minute. Had a 2-0 lead on the 29th minute, Kerry Bartlett the player on target. C&K Basildon responded captain Zoe Rushen scoring to get it back to 2-1 4 minutes later. 2-1 the half-time score C&K Basildon pressed for an equaliser 2nd half but couldn’t find it the win seeing Cardiff move above them in the table.
FAWPL Cup 1st Round
FAWPL South East Division One side, Denham United Ladies were at home in the 1st Round of the FAWPL Cup taking on South West Division One side, Brislington Ladies. Going into the half-time interval the scores were level at 2-2. Jenny Banfield and Rebecca French scoring Denham United Ladies goals. The tie looked like it was heading into extra-time no more goals coming 2nd half then in the last minute Aimee Durn struck in a shot to win it 3-2 send Denham United Ladies into the 2nd Round where they face a tough away trip to Coventry United Ladies.
Two FAWPL South East Division One sides met in the other FAWPL Cup 1st Round tie with Norwich City Ladies making the trip down into Kent to play Gillingham FC Ladies. The home side opening the scoring on 15 minutes, Amy Taylor netting the goal 6 minutes later they raced into a 3-0 lead, Emma Tune and April Bowers scoring. Chelsea Garrett pulled a goal back for Norwich with 3 minutes of the 1st half left however Gillingham went into the dressing room at half-time with a 4-1 advantage Emily Symond with the goal in stoppage time. The second haf was a repeat of the 1st Gillingham winning that 4-1 too, Jade Keogh with a goal on 66 minutes, Felicity Gibbons 3 minutes later then Bethany Nugent scoring as the game moved into the last 10 minutes. Garrett scored her 2nd goal of the game for Norwich then Keogh added her 2nd of the game in the last minute to see Gillingham rack up an 8-2 win to progress to the 2nd Round where they have been drawn at home to Milton Keynes Dons Ladies. West Ham United Ladies were drawn at home against fellow FAWPL Southern Division side in the 1st Round of the FAWPL Plate. Held a narrow advantage at half-time, Charlotte Gurr reunited with manager James Marrs after leaving Brighton to join Millwall Lionesses scoring in 1st half injury time. Swindon Town Ladies came back 2nd half getting themselves into a 2-1 lead with 10 minutes left to play, Georgia Walters scoring both of their goals. West Ham United Ladies came back scoring in injury time again, Chloe Burr with the goal to force the tie into extra-time. No more goals came in the extra 30 minutes and the tie headed into a penalty shootout. Indian International goalkeeper, Aditi Chauhan making her 1st appearance for the club this season was the heroine saving 3 penalties to see West Ham United Ladies win the shootout and advance to the 2nd Round where they will face FAWPL South West Division One side Cheltenham Town Ladies away from home. FAWPL South East Division One
A 2-0 home win over Denham United Ladies on Thursday night had seen AFC Wimbledon Ladies continue their excellent start to the season since promotion to the FAWPL South East Division One. 4 wins from 4 to move above Cambridge United WFC at the top of the table. Were playing again just 3 days later a long road trip up to the Suffolk coast to play Lowestoft Town Ladies who had picked up their 1st 3 points of the season the previous Sunday at home to Enfield Town Ladies winning 3-0.
A fantastic start for the visitors, Sami Bock putting them a goal up inside 3 minutes. Lowestoft kept the lead down to a goal were awarded a penalty with 7 minutes of the 1st half left, Gemma Moore putting the ball into the back of the net to make it 1-1 at half-time. 2nd half the home side struck early captain Hannah Waters lobbing the keeper to make it 2-1 on 47 minutes, the lead didn’t last long Rebecca Sargent making it 2-2 on 50 minutes. Scored her 2nd of the match on 68 minutes to make it 3-1, substitute Sian Wylie scoring direct from a corner to make it 4-2. Lowestoft were awarded another penalty, Moore scoring again to pull it back to 4-3, the final score AFC Wimbledon move 3 points clear at the top with 5 wins from 5.
Milton Keynes Dons Ladies returned to winning ways at home in the league after suffering 2 defeats in their opening 3 games. Were taking on Actonians Ladies on Sunday at Newport Pagnell FC. Won the game 4-1 to climb up into the top half of the table. Heather McDonnell scoring a brace with a goal a piece for Charly Clarke and Sophie Watson. Katrina Duncan scoring Actonians Ladies goal early in the 2nd half.
33 clubs across the East entered the Women’s FA Cup at the 2nd Round Qualifying stage this weekend as they started on The Road to Wembley, a distance dream it maybe but nevertheless everyone entered with that the ultimate prize come Saturday May 13th. 80 ties in total in the 2nd Round Qualifying. Prize money increased this year too the winning side this weekend earning £450. A possible tie with an FAWPL Division One side in the next round too. It all started Saturday night the 2nd Round Qualifying ties starting with Bishops Stortford Ladies making their debut in the Women’s FA Cup hosting Bungay Town Ladies. A special occasion for the Beds & Herts Division One side getting to play the fixture at the men’s ProKit (UK) Stadium. Bungay Town Ladies competing in Norfolk Women’s Division One were entering the Women’s FA Cup for the 3rd time looking to progress to the next round for the 1st time. Bungay Town Ladies held the advantage at half-time leading 1-0 Rebecca Carver with the goal slotting the ball into the bottom corner from outside the box. A competitive 1st half, Bungay Town Ladies came out the stronger 2nd half striker Lacey Andrews causing the Bishops Stortford defence some problems eventually breaking into the box and scoring to make it 2-0. A late goal from Kathryn Stanley on 82 minutes sending the ball over goalkeeper Ruth Smart to pull it back to 2-1 looked to set up a tense finish however Bungay were to get down the other end and score, Andrews winning the ball in the corner linked up with Emily leach before the ball came back to her to lift over the keeper and in to make it 3-1 the final score.
Two more sides from Beds & Herts Division One faced each other in 2nd Round Qualifying on Sunday with Houghton Athletic Ladies entering for the 1st time at home to Sherrardswood Ladies. Emma Hawkes gave Houghton the lead in the tie. Laure Marris pulled it all square for Sherrardswood with 15 minutes left on the clock. A late long range strike from Ciara Craig 2 minutes from time won the game for Houghton sending them through to the next round.
Park Ladies were making their Women’s FA Cup debut and will hardly want a reminder on The Round-Up as to how they fared the side newly promoted to the Cambridgeshire Women’s Premiership hosting Northampton Town Ladies promoted to the EMWFL Division One South this season. The higher league opponents proving too strong for Park Ladies racking up a 14-0 scoreline to advance in the competition.
Promoted with Northampton Town Ladies to the EMWFL Division One South were Peterborough United Ladies. They were making their debut in the Women’s FA Cup at home to another side entering for the 1st time, Cambridge City Ladies, newly promoted to the ERWFL Division One. A close result Cambridge City Ladies progress through to the next round Grace Stanley scoring the only goal of the tie.
Staying with the EMWFL Division One South, Riverside Ladies were also in action in 2nd Round Qualifying taking on Woodford United Ladies. A far more convincing result for Riverside as they overcame their lower league opponents 9-0 to go into the hat for the next round draw.
Histon Ladies formerly Great Shelford Ladies were on the road in 2nd Round Qualifying taking on EMWFL Division One South side Moulton Ladies. Sophie Hopkin netting a brace in the tie. Abigail Davies, Katie Saunders and Sophie Ugur also scoring goals for Histon as they ran out 5-2 winners to advance.
Two sides from the Essex Women’s Premier Division were also making their Women’s FA Cup debuts in 2nd Round Qualifying. Chelmsford City Ladies face a tough away match against high flying Haringey Borough Women leading with Bedford Ladies at the top of the ERWFL Premier Division two league higher. Proved too strong for Chelmsford City. Anais Reynolds scoring a hat-trick, their were braces too for Anele Komani, Julia Carruthers & Klesha Darroux. Roxanne Eshun, Naomi Graham and Shanice Nourrice all scoring a goal each too in a 12-0 victory.
Harlow Town Ladies promoted as Essex Division One Champions to the Premier Division were facing another ERWFL Premier Division side, Billericay Town Ladies entering the cup for the 1st time. Away from home Billericay Town Ladies took the lead on 17 minutes. Fran Gamble pulling it back to 1-1 on the half hour mark. Billericay Town retaking the lead just before half-time. Extended the lead to 3-1 on 63 minutes. Tia Dye got it back to 3-2 for Harlow Town Ladies with 15 minutes left, Billericay Town Ladies holding onto the lead at the end to progress to the next round.
The Supporting Women’s Football Blog covered a 2nd Women’s FA Cup tie on Sunday, eventually travelling down to the Ridgeons Stadium in Newmarket to take a look at their new state of the art cork based 3G pitch. Newmarket Town Ladies new home the Cambridgeshire Women’s Premiership side welcomed a tough opponent with Wymondham Town Ladies newly promoted to ERWFL Division One having enjoyed an extended run in the competition last season keen for further progress this time around. had Newmarket on the back foot right from kick off. Gemma Sanders giving the visitors an early lead the goal was soon followed up by another with Laura Wiseman played through on goal. Sanders netted her 2nd of the game to put Wymondham 3-0 up at half-time.

Changes at the break saw Newmarket rally early in the 2nd half, Nadine Basson pulling a goal back. Wymondham hit back with 2 quick goals Kayleigh Holloway and Bethany Fretwell scoring to make it 5-1. A well worked goal from Newmarket got it back to 5-2. Again Wymondham broke and scored Alice Collins with the goal. Wiseman adding her 2nd and Wymondham’s in the 90th minute to seal a 7-2 win. Little Thurrock Dynamos Ladies were making their Women’s FA Cup debut on Sunday at home to local rivals Brentwood Town Ladies playing in the league ERWFL Premier Division above. Katy Judd scored to give Little Thurrock Dynamos the lead and it looked to be enough only for Brentwood Town Ladies to find the equaliser late into the 2nd half to force the tie into extra-time. Brentwood Town Ladies going on to score again in the extra 30 minutes and advance 2-1 to the next round draw.
ERWFL Premier Division leaders Bedford Ladies suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat away to Hemel Hempstead Town Ladies to go out of the competition Cyeanna Eaton with Bedford Ladies goal. Writtle Ladies also from the ERWFL Premier Division were also knocked out of the Women’s FA Cup the 1st time entrants losing 3-0 at home to Leyton Orient WFC.
Better news for the other ERWFL Premier Division sides in the Women’s FA Cup. Acle United Ladies reaching the 3rd Round Qualifying draw beating Cambridgeshire Women’s Premiership side Netherton United Ladies at home 2-0. Anna Larkins and Kate Pasque with the goals.
Royston Town Ladies were away to Colney Heath Ladies on Sunday a tricky tie in 2nd Round Qualifying the ERWFL Division One side finding good form recently. Paris Coldicott-Stevens, Grace Leslie and Samantha Tinsley all scored for Royston Town Ladies, Molly Slade getting a goal for Colney Heath Ladies who were knocked out losing 3-1.
AFC Dunstable Ladies were at home on Sunday in the Women’s FA Cup taking on Beds & Herts Women’s Division One side Sandy Ladies. 3 Dunstable players claimed a brace in the match, Samaria Khan, Paige Kavangh and Amber Pearson. Danielle Carty and Lori Wilson-Phillips grabbed a goal each too Dunstable winning 8-0.
AFC Sudbury Ladies made the short trip to the Boxted Sports Ground to play fellow ERWFL Premier Division side Colchester Town Ladies. Sudbury taking an early lead, Sasha Diston heading home from a corner inside 5 minutes. Stacey Teager doubling the lead 10 minutes later. Another corner routine late in the 1st half saw Sudbury take a 3-0 lead into the dressing room at half-time Charlene Roach the scorer. Lost Sophie Jeffery to a head injury in the 1st half however. A nasty looking swollen bruise above her eye to show for her efforts after the game. No more goals followed in the 2nd half Sudbury progressing to the next round had something extra to celebrate, Sophie Pink returning to action after a long injury lay off.

Lawford Ladies go top of the Essex Women’s Premier Division as they followed up a 5-1 home win on the opening weekend against newly promoted Wickford Town Ladies with a crushing 10-0 victory away from home against Walden Ladies this Sunday a result that sees their opponents drop to the foot of the table. 2 wins from 2 both Harlow Town Ladies and Chelmsford City Ladies who had also won on the opening day were involved in the Women’s FA Cup.
That saw Eastern Avenue climb into 2nd place in the Premier Division as they followed up an opening weekend draw at home to Runwell Sports Ladies with a comfortable win away to Hutton Ladies Reserves. Liane prior scoring twice for Eastern Avenue, Hannah Warner, Elizabeth Allen and Mollie Rose with goals to their names to the final score 5-0.
Collier Row Tigers were beginning their Premier Division season at home this Sunday taking on newly promoted Alresford Colne Rangers who had lost 7-2 last Sunday in their 1st league game. Lost by the exact same scoreline again Collier Row Tigers netting 7 times to take the 3 points.
One more game from the Premier Division to bring you a clash between 2 of the newly promoted sides with Chigwell Ladies hosting Wickford Town Ladies both losing heavily on the opening weekend it was Chigwell who came away with the 3 points despite trailing by 3 goals to 2 at half-time scored 3 times in the 2nd half to win the match 5-3.
Essex Women’s Division One
Waltham Forest Ladies lost 22-0 away from home on the opening day of the season in Essex last Sunday. The assault on their goal was no less merciful as they played their 1st match at home this Sunday taking on one of the new sides in Division One this season, Corringham Cosmos who go top of the table after plundering a staggering 29 goals. A -51 after just two matches in looks like it’s going to be another tough season for Waltham Forest Ladies. I cross my fingers that one edition of this Round-Up will feature the club winning their 1st ever point. 2 wins from 2 played for Corringham Cosmos.
That huge win by Corringham Cosmos eclipsed the side that scored 22 goals last Sunday. Was a great start to the season by Frontiers Ladies another new side to Division One this season. On Sunday they were away to another new name in the league, FC Clacton Ladies playing their 1st game of the season. Frontiers Ladies made it 2 wins from 2 scoring 2 goals in the 1st half, Hayley King breaking the deadlock on 20 minutes with Sharon Ferguson scoring the 2nd on 35. Jill Bartholomew added a 3rd goal for Frontiers on 60 minutes to secure the 3 points.
Harlow Town Ladies Reserves join Corringham Cosmos and Frontiers Ladies with a 100% winning start to the season making it 2 wins from two themselves at home on Sunday playing Chelmsford City Ladies Reserves. A 3-0 win seeing them take the 3 points. Chelmsford City Ladies Reserves suffering 2 losses at the start of the season.
Benfleet Villa Ladies are another new side in Division One started with a 6-0 home defeat against Harlow Town Ladies Reserves. Were on the road this Sunday playing Southend Town Ladies starting their league season the sides battling out a 1-1 to both get a point on the board.
Same for Kings Lynn Town Ladies recovering from a heavy opening day defeat, recorded their 1st league victory and 3 points last Sunday beating North Walsham Angels Ladies away from home, were on home turf this weekend at the Riverlane Playing Fields taking on Aylsham FC Ladies. Captain Shelley Woods (pictured) scored a hat-trick in the game with Jordan Turner adding a brace. Rebecca Russell also with a goal to her name in a 6-1 win to see Kings Lynn Town Ladies up to 4th in the table. Sophie Burr-Walpole scoring in the 1st half for Aylsham FC Ladies.
with some of the players who helped to win the Norfolk Division One title not wanting to or able to commit to the extra travelling the 1st team has to do now it has been promoted to the Eastern Region Women’s Football League. That strength in depth proved too much for Toftwood as Sally Hammerton (pictured) getting her 1st competitive minutes under her belt netted 4 goals. Gemma Hamilton scoring a hat-trick to add to the 2 goals she scored against Freethorpe. Kelly Ayers netting a brace also with Laura Nicholls adding a goal to the scoreline a 10-1 victory, Katie Hart scoring the consolation for Toftwood United Ladies.
