Almost a full programme of fixtures in Suffolk with their being just the one match called of, that involving leaders Needham Market Women Reserves due to play away to Holland Ladies. Brettvale Ladies 2nd of goal difference taking full advantage to extend their 100% record at the star of the season to move 3 points clear at the top of the table. Albeit the first 3 wins awarded Brettvale officially beginning their season last weekend starting with a good 8-1 win away to Alresford Colne Rangers. At home for the first time this season on Sunday taking on Brantham Atheltic Ladies who had suffered narrow defeats in their previous two lead matches. Brettvale winning the game comfortably taking the 3 points with a 5-0 win a brace each for Tarnya McKew and Amie Chippendale, Rachel White scoring too in her first start of the season.
Four wins from four to start the season to for the newly reformed Bury Town Women joining Needham Market Women Reserves on 12 points 3rd in the table. A big win too for Bury Town away to University of Suffolk Women, the hosts short on numbers up against a strong side full of goals with 5 available on the bench. Julie Brind scoring 7 goals against the hosts herself doubling her tally for the season after just 3 matches. Stacy Roper scoring a hat-trick, was a brace for Kirsten Hutchings with Deborah Greeves and Steph Hanratty also scoring two goals each to open their accounts. Zoe Klimcke, Helen Cryer and Mia Bambury adding another goal each with Lyndsie Duemmel also celebrating a goal on her first start. A 20-0 win for Bury Town.
Woodbridge Town Ladies building on last weeks first win of the season claimed their 2nd successive 3 point haul at home to Alresford Colne Rangers on Sunday. A home win awarded previously move up to 4th with 9 points off the back of a 3-0 winning result. Last seasons top scorer Jenna Liverpool scoring a brace with a first goal of the season for Keira Hines.
Having forfeited their opening two league figures upon joining the Suffolk Women’s Division new side Henley Athletic Ladies are showing great form in competitive action taking 7 points from 3 played so far starting with back to back wins earned a good point away from home against Leiston St Margarets Ladies this weekend in a 0-0 draw.
Brightlingsea Regent Ladies make it back to back wins in the Suffolk Women’s Division after losing their opening fixture and forfeiting their 2nd. A 6-1 win at home to newcomers Ramsey & Mistley Ladies last tie out were away to Chantry Grasshoppers Ladies this Sunday. A close first half seeing the visitors leading 2-1 the scoreline repeated in the 2nd period to see Brightlingsea run out 4-2 winners. Hannah Goldsmith celebrating a hat-trick has 7 goals for Brightlingsea from 3 played. Paige Knight also on the scoresheet. Chantry Grasshoppers still in search of their first points of the season, Ruth Mallett and Shannon Cameron their goalscorers.
Ramsey & Mistley Ladies having a tough start to life in the Suffolk Women’s Division with 2 heavy losses to start the season, losing their opening 4 in total earned their first point of the season this Sunday at home to fellow newcomers AFC Kesgrave Ladies. The visitors short on numbers with just 9 available doing well to take home a point themselves the pair drawing 1-1 at half-time adding one more each 2nd half to see it finish 2-2. Ashleigh Mean and Holly Hammond with her first of the season scoring for Ramsey & Mistley. Abigail Eley and Sarah Jay also scoring her first of the campaign on target for AFC Kesgrave.
