Just a week ago it was a celebration in Essex Women’s Division One as Waltham Forest Ladies earned their 1st ever league point with a 3-3 draw away to Benfleet Villa Ladies. Now the club is celebrating it’s 1st ever win in the league as the 2 sides bottom of the league met in the reverse league fixture at Waltham Forest Ladies home pitch this Sunday the sides contesting a 7 goal thriller Waltham Forest edging the result 4-3 to record their 1st ever league win taking them level on 4 points with Benfleet Villa Ladies whose goals were scored by Amy Pownall and a brace for Christina Taylor. Have written about so many heavy defeats for Waltham Forest Ladies I’m glad to write about a win for the club at long last.
