Essex Women’s Premier Division

Leigh Ramblers Ladies winning run continues as they make it 6 in a row since an opening day defeat to join leaders Frontiers Ladies on 18 points at the top of the Essex Women’s Premier Division. Their latest win coming at home on Sunday against fellow promoted side Southend United Ladies. A 2-1 lead for Leigh Ramblers at half-time they went on to find the back of the net for a further 2 goals in the 2nd half to win the game 4-1. Amy Jacobs scoring a brace their were goals too for Rebecca Dalgarno and Kate Newton. Ra Toovey with the 1st half goal for Southend.

Harlow Town Ladies Development continue to consolidate 3rd position in the Premier Division table winning for the 4th time in the league this Sunday, along with Frontiers remain unbeaten in the league too a strong 1st half performance at home taking on bottom side Brentwood Town Ladies Reserves, Harlow holding a 5-1 lead a further goal added in the 2nd period seeing them win 6-1. Ellie Nicholls scoring twice their were goals too for Hannah Smith, Lucy Edmeades and Tasmin Turner, with Evie Anderson scoring her 1st goal for Harlow. Lauren Knight with the 37th minute goal for Brentwood.

A gap down to 4th placed Chelmsford City Ladies and defeat on the road sees the side behind them close the gap. Chelmsford were taking on Collier Row Tigers who had a slow start to their season 1 point from their opening 3 games a 1st win of the campaign coming last Sunday, made it back to back wins to climb into 5th spot. Sarah Finch and Laura Bunton both on the scoresheet with 2 goals each, with Helen Moreira also getting a goal her 1st of the season in a 5-2 win. Lisa Overall with both of the goals for Chelmsford.

Silver End United Ladies also climb the Premier Division table joining Collier Row Tigers on 7 points with victory on the road this Sunday against Corringham Cosmos. Stephanie A’Len scoring twice getting off the mark this season, 1st goals of the season too for Ella Toovey and Angela Holden in a 4-0 win.

Essex Women’s Division One

 Dagenham & Redbridge Ladies excellent start to the season continues as they chalked up their 7th straight win to maintain their 3 point lead at the top of Essex Women’s Division One on Sunday. Were at home taking on 4th placed Runwell Sorts Ladies, a goal in each half securing a 2-0 win for Dagenham & Redbridge, Jodie Barden scoring for the 6th time this season, Sade Walters was on target for her 1st goal.

   Billericay Town Ladies Reserves keep the pressure on the leaders as the 2nd placed side recorded their 6th league win of the season away from home on Sunday, a local derby taking on Hutton Ladies Reserves, a brace for Rachel Armstrong-Morris along with a goal for Anna-Maria Rains sealing a 3-1 victory for Billericay. Rachael Agombar getting the goal for Hutton.

   A high scoring match between FC Clacton Ladies and Rayleigh Town Ladies with the sides contesting a 9 goal thriller, 3rd placed Rayleigh narrowly beating 5th placed Clacton. A home, Becky McDougall striking home 3 goals to claim a hat-trick for Clacton moving her onto 7 goals for the season, Lauren Lucas with her 1st of the season. 4 goals not enough however to get anything from the game as Rayleigh hit them for 5 up the other end. Jorja Victoria Killington scoring twice for Rayleigh her 1st goals of the season there was also a brace for Holly Gash with Francesca Browne also getting a goal. Rayleigh winning 5-4.

   A first league win of the season for Island Ladies having joined the league this season, their first 3 points coming in their 5th match at home to Chigwell Ladies on Sunday. Island had only scored 2 goals in those previous 4 matches, were rampant in front of goal this time around scoring double figures! Chigwell scoring 3 times themselves through Emily Alexander and a brace from Victoria Parker, Island went crazy up the other end, Jess Bowen scoring a hat-trick. Everyone else getting their 1st goals in Division One for Island, Rebecca Hopkins also celebrating a hat-trick. Both Ebonnie Williams and Elizabeth Clarke scored 2 a piece with Georgia Holdaway also opening her account in an 11-3 win.

  A first point of the season too for another league newcomer, Belhus Ladies, themselves suffering some heavy defeats at the start of life in Division One are finally off the mark earning a point at home on Sunday against Chelmsford City Ladies Reserves. 1st goals of the season for Bethany Murray and Hayley Freeman seeing Belhus draw 2-2 with Chelmsford City their goals scored by Emily Kendle and Fern Elder both again celebrating their 1st goals of the season.

Norfolk Women’s Division One

A big win away from home on Sunday see’s Thorpe United Ladies open up a 7 point lead at the top of Norfolk Women’s Division One. 6 wins from 7 games now were at Beccles Town Ladies. A good 1st half performance seeing Thorpe leading 4-0 went on to add two more goals 2nd half to seal a 6-0 result. Chloe Young scoring her 1st goals of the season from Thorpe completing a hat-trick. Victoria McNorton also on target with two goals her first strikes of the season with captain, Rebekah Lake also getting on the scoresheet.

   Losing away to Thorpe last weekend their 1st defeat of the season, 2nd placed Aylsham Ladies were on the road again this Sunday taking on Wymondham Town Ladies Reserves. Amber Mayhew and Hannah Sturman scoring for the visitors Aylsham, Wymondham responding with two goals of their own to see the points shared in a 2-2 draw.

  That 1st elusive win of the season came last Sunday for Sprowston Athletic Ladies, following promotion to Division One, a 4-0 home win against Bungay Town Ladies. Scored 4 at home again this Sunday to record a 2nd successive win, albeit they were run much closer by opponents, 3rd placed Gorleston FC Ladies. The visitors taking an early lead, Sprowston getting back on level terms a shot from outside the box bringing a goal for Rachel Bussey. Gorleston retaking the lead just before the half-time whistle. Katie Fray heading home from a corner kick saw Sprowston draw level again early in the 2nd half. The home side going on to take the lead in the 70th minute Rebecca Kirby making it 3-2 with her first goal of the season. A dramatic final 5 minutes saw Gorleston get it back to 3-3 only to concede straight from the restart Melissa Belsey with the shot to make it 4-3 an win the game for Sprowston, Just 5 points separate the sides placed 2nd to 6th. 

Norfolk Women’s Division Two

 New leaders in Norfolk Women’s Division Two after Sunday’s results with Fakenham Town Ladies not in action 2nd placed Taverham United Women took full advantage maintaining their unbeaten start with a 6th straight win to move into top position. Taverham were at home taking on Thetford Town Ladies on Sunday. Goals for Caitlyn Arnup, Chloe Hall, Laura Jones and Rebecca Sutton seeing Taverham score 4 times to claim the 3 points with a 4-2 victory. Thetford Town’s goalscorers, Shannon Richardson and Laura Martins.

 A big win away from home on Sunday sees Bure Valley Wildcats Ladies climb up to 3rd in the Division Two table, their opponents Horsford Women who came into the game off the back of their 1st ever league win, back to earth with a bump this Sunday, Bure Valley scoring plenty of goals this season claimed a 2nd double figure win of the season. Kiera Brown and Charlie Cooper both scoring hat-tricks have 25 goals between them now. Carrie Last and Anya Sadler both hitting a brace, their were goals to for Juliette Kelly and Molly Ferguson, the final score 12-0.

   Tavern Ladies slip to 4th in the Division Two after they drew away from home with 5th placed Long Stratton Ladies on Sunday. A high scoring contest between the sides as they shared 8 goals between them. Tavern with the lead at the half-time interval 3-1 up, Long Stratton coming back 2nd half went on to take a 4-3 lead themselves before Tavern hit back late on to level the scores a 4-4. Katie Hart-Copsey with a brace for Tavern, Atlanta Griffith and Rianna Stott also on target with a goal. Emily Watts netting twice for Long Stratton  their other goals scored by Samantha Walker and Nadia Child.

 A 3rd win of the season sees Gorleston Rangers Ladies over haul this Sunday’s opponents Freethorpe Ladies to move into the top half of the Division Two table. At home goals from Chloe Ashton, Abbie Pogmore and Zoe Waite secured a 3-1 win for Gorleston. Robyn Steele scoring for Freethorpe.

  Kirkley & Pakefield Ladies were playing just their 2nd league game of the season Difficulties getting a side early on their previous fixture resulting in a narrow defeat they were on the right end of the result this time around. Hosting Thetford side, Bulldogs Ladies the sides were drawing 1-1 at half-time. Kirkley & Pakefield finding the winning goal in the 2nd half to win 2-1 and earn their 1st points of the season. Ineta Omeleviciute scoring the goal for Bulldogs.

Suffolk Women’s Division

 It remains neck and neck at the top of the Suffolk Women’s Division with defending Champion’s East Bergholt United Ladies and 2nd placed Brantham Athletic Ladies keeping up their 100% winning starts to the season 7 each now both on 21 points. East Bergholt with the superior goal difference some big scorelines this season this Sunday saw their closest result of the season a 2nd half winner enough to see them to victory away from home as they took on Woodbridge Town Ladies. A goal from Jemma Liverpool seeing Woodbridge drawing 1-1 at half-time. Stacey Teager and Elena Nitsche on target with a goal in either half enough to claim the 3 points keep East Bergholt out in front. 

  Brantham Athletic at home to University of Suffolk Women on Sunday, chipped away at the leaders superior goal difference with their biggest win of the season. Kirsten Hutchings and Jodie Sharp both scoring a hat-trick for Brantham. Danielle Harvey and captain Lucy Dunnett also on target with a brace each, Sophie Crabtree and Carra Marie Seeley also getting a goal each whilst Merlin Watson scored her 1st goal for Brantham in a 13-1 victory to keep up their 100% winning start to the season. 

  It was a massive win on the road on Sunday for Needham Market Women as they kept up the pressure on the leading pair 3 points back in 3rd spot in the Suffolk Women’s Division. Were at fellow newcomers Haverhill Rovers Ladies Reserves bottom without a point on the board so far this season. Francesca Rainbird top scoring for Needham market in the match with 5 goals. Lois Balfour scoring 4. Abbie Wilkinson with a hat-trick. Jemma Wessels and Nicola Henderson with a brace a piece. Isabel Chaplin and Milly Carter with a goal each whilst their was a 1st Needham Market goal for 4 players, Maria Smith, Megan Stock, Ria Delves and manager Freya Louis in a crushing 22-0 result. A big win for Needham Market, was positive to see after the game to the spirit and togetherness show by Haverhill this is very much a fledgling league and they are a fledgling side that will carry them through a tough start.

  A goal from Michelle Stanborough gave Leiston St Margarets Ladies a first half lead on Sunday away to 4th placed Alresford Colne Ladies. The hosts though undefeated since the opening day of the season came back 2nd half to secure a point drawing 1-1 with Jo Harvey scoring her 7th goal of the season.

   A draw for Alresford Colne Rangers seeing them drop a place as victory at home for Walsham Le Willows Ladies saw them move up to 4th spot in the Suffolk Women’s Division just the one defeat themselves were taking on Coplestonians Ladies on Sunday. Laura Brame scoring a hat-trick has 8 goals for the season now from 5 appearances. Julie Brind, Katie Grimwood and Norma Locker also on target with a goal each in a 6-1 win. Sophie Maul with her 1st goal for Coplestonians.

  A first ever league win at the weekend for Brettvale Ladies playing their 7th game of the season were at home to fellow newcomers Brightlingsea Regent Ladies. Kelly Hannington’s goal struck in the 1st half the difference as Brettvale defended to celebrate at the final whistle.

ERWFL Premier Division

The battle at the top of the ERWFL continues to intensify with the 4 of the top 5 all winning at the weekend. Leaders Cambridge City Ladies remain 3 points clear at the top as they recorded a 7th straight league win to maintain their 100%. A trip to The Harlow Arena on Sunday to play Harlow Ladies. Kaydee King and Lily Bruno on target with a goal each for Harlow not enough as Cambridge hit them for 5 up the other end, have goalscorers all over the pitch with Laura Mills, Erin Davies, Bella Simmons and Shannon Shaw all adding a goal to their accounts this season along with a 1st goal of the season for Lauren Tomlinson.

    Royston Town Ladies were the other side in the ERWFL Premier Division defending a 100% start to the season going into Sunday’s game. The Hertfordshire side at home to Wymondham Town Ladies. The Norfolk side taking the lead on the half hour Kayleigh Holloway scoring the goal from a Betty Fretwell free-kick. Top scorer, Laura Nicholls scoring Wymondham’s 2nd just 5 minutes later her shot smashing in off the underside of the bar. Royston pulling a goal back with 3 minutes left in the 1st half Joanne Rutherford from the penalty spot. A 2-1 lead for Wymondham at the break.

   Rutherford with her 2nd of the match bringing Royston back to 2-2 in the 53rd minute, Wymondham responding straight away, Hannah Waters scoring to restore Wymondham’s lead. That only lasted a minute however as Hayley Elderd hit a screamer, scoring to make it 3-3. Past the hour and Wymondham edged themselves into the lead again Waters scoring her 2nd getting onto the end of another Fretwell set-piece. Royston coming back once again Georgia Gannaway with her 1st touch after coming on making it 4-4 with 25 minutes left. The points shared in the finish 4-4! Royston dropping points for the 1st time this season. Wymondham with a new signing, Jordan Arnoup recently with Ipswich Town Women a very strong addition to their squad.

  Points dropped for Royston Town Ladies a bonus for Brentwood Town Ladies as the Essex side get back to winning ways after 2 straight defeats in the league to climb back into 2nd spot. Victory coming at home on Sunday as they entertained bottom side, Haringey Borough Women. Both Marie Barker and Leah Cowan netting a brace for Brentwood their were goals too for Danielle Butler, Sophie Lovell and top scorer Georgia Holdaway in a 7-0 success.

   It was the ERWFL Premier Division were the football action on Women’s Football East came from a trip to the FDC Flegg to watch 4th placed Acle United Women play 6th placed Bedford Ladies. A fast paced game that was played at a high tempo, Acle with a confident start showed their attacking intent from the very start. It was Bedford though who would open the scoring a counter attack, Carissa Kaczorowski making a run into the channel left side bearing down on the box, goalkeeper Amy Bell rushing out to close her down, Kaczorowski lifting it over her to send the ball into the goal beyond. Acle weren’t too long in finding a reply a free-kick on the left lifted into the box, runners from the edge of the area the ball turned home by captain Megan Todd. The home side pressing Bedford back looking for further goals chances came and went into the last five minutes of the half Todd picking up the ball 25 yards out a run in field and shoots the ball rifled pass the keeper into the back of the net 2-1. Substitute Kate Pasque rising in the area meet a right wing cross, not connecting with the ball as she had intended but nevertheless effective knocked down back across the goal into the bottom corner for Acle’s 3rd. Todd completing a 1st half hat-trick right at the end of the half a free header inside the six yard box the ball played in from the right. 

  Acle leading 4-1 at half-time in control of the game started in the same vein 2nd half on the offensive, Bedford unable to get anything going in attack. A free-kick on the left played into the area near post Todd with the run to meet it scoring her 4th of the match Acle’s 5th. A dominant display from Acle, Bedford frustrated not their afternoon, backs to the wall they managed to pull a goal back winning a corner the ball headed out to the left retrieved, Priya Bhatti with Maya Sidhu the long range shot on finding it’s way in across the six yard box. A coming together in the box saw Acle’s Amy Bell injured needing to come off Rhianne Brister donning the gloves for the final 15 minutes. Acle continued to attack won a penalty off the frustrated Bedford back line, Ceira Flatt brought down in the box taking the spot kick scoring her 1st goal of the season high into the net. Into stoppage time and Bedford grabbed another goal a free-kick from Michelle Byrne fired high into the box the bounce taking the ball up over the keeper and in. Acle winning 6-3.

   Peterborough Northern Star Ladies, in  5th spot joining Acle United Women and Royston Town Ladies on 16 points with victory away to Colney Heath Ladies on Sunday. The visitors taking a first half lead through Chanade Henderson scoring from a free-kick, the lead doubled before Colney Heath pulled one back, Nicola Hollick scoring. Half-time 2-1 to Peterborough Northern Star they added a further goal in the 2nd period to win the game 3-1 to take the 3 points. Katie and Cassie Steward with the goals.

   A first win of the season for AFC Dunstable Ladies who at one point had given notice to withdraw from the ERWFL before the season started a difficult start just a point on the board were at home to fellow strugglers AFC Sudbury Ladies on Sunday. move above them courtesy of goals from, Victoria Allen, Kerry Straton and a brace for Storm Sherry Burrows. 4-0 the winning margin.

ERWFL Division One

The table adjusted in ERWFL Division One following the sad withdrawal of Ipswich Wanderers Ladies sees the sides that gained points against them have them scrubbed off their tally, including league leaders Stevenage Ladies Reserves their lead now 4 points.

  2nd placed St Ives Town Ladies also losing those points won them back on Sunday at home as they took on Essex side, Hatfield Peverel Ladies. Tierney Coulson scoring a goal to put her into double figures for the season after 7 appearances. A goal each too for Katie and Georgia Stancombe, whilst Harriet Ford netted her 1st goal of the season in a 4-0 win.

   Hutton Ladies leap frog above their weekends opponents Lawford Ladies to move into 4th position in Division One. The Essex sides meeting at Lawford on Sunday. A brace from top scorer Vicky Kinsman has an incredible 22 goals already this season from 10 appearances, since joining the club over the close season, Rosi Webb also on the scoresheet for Hutton has 11 goals now from her 9 appearances this season. Hutton winning 3-1, Jasmine Cox with the goal for Lawford.

  Histon Ladies were at home on Sunday taking on Hertford Town Ladies at the Glassworld Stadium. The home side holding a 2-0 advantage at half-time, Katie Webb scoring both goals. Involved in the build-up as Histon took a 3-0 lead early in the 2nd half Katie Seagrave scoring from close range. Georgia Day scoring soon after to secure a 4-0 win for Histon pulling them clear of the bottom 3.

FAWNL Southern Premier Division

New leaders of the FAWNL Southern Division as Chichester City Ladies move to the top of the pile with a home victory taking advantage of Coventry United Ladies not being involved in league action for the 2nd successive weekend. Chichester City capitalising closed the gap to the leaders last Sunday with a 1-0 home win over Cardiff City Ladies go above them with their 2nd successive 3 point haul on home soil this Sunday. Were hosting Gillingham FC Ladies, Cherelle Khassel scoring the only goal of the 1st half just past the half hour to see Chichester City with the narrow lead at half-time. Molly Clark with her 8th strike of the season firing the hosts into a 2-0 2 minutes after the restart. The 2-0 win taking Chichester City to the top 2 points ahead of Coventry.

   A great 2nd half for Loughborough Foxes Women saw them win for the successive game in league and cup 6 points from their last 2 matches in the Southern Premier Division seeing them climb up to fifth in the table 2 points behind 4th placed Plymouth Argyle Ladies who were their opponents this Sunday. Plymouth at home this weekend haven’t lost a game since the end of August taking them up into 4th spot, chances in the 1st half to open the scoring denied by the post and a disallowed goal the sides drawing a blank at half-time. Rebecca McGrother breaking the deadlock 7 minutes into the 2nd half. Chloe Young then doubling Loughborough’s lead 4 minutes later heading in from a corner. McGrother hitting a screamer to find the back of the net made it 3-0 with 67 minutes gone. Her 3rd goal another quality strike to complete her hat-trick in the final 10 minutes securing a 4-0 win for Loughborough.

  Kylie Nolan scored in the opening minute for Cardiff City Ladies on Sunday as they took on Oxford United Women at home. Defending the goal for much of the game Oxford getting back on level terms late on the game entering the final 15 minutes. Georgia Timms with the strike to make it 1-1 and see the sides take a share of the points, enough to keep Oxford in the top half of the Southern Premier Division table.

FAWNL South East Division One

  The top 2 met in FAWNL South East Division One this Sunday, 2nd placed Billericay Town Ladies hosting leaders Crawley Wasps Ladies. Both promoted to the league this season have had fantastic starts a 2 point lead for Crawley who have a 100% win rate after 7 games played. A close 1st half saw the sides drawing 0-0. The stale mate broken 15 minutes into the 2nd half. Emma Plewa played through on goal to score her 7th goal of the season. Naomi Cole doubling Crawley’s lead with the game entering the final 10 minutes scoring for the 8th time this season. The 2-0 victory seeing Crawley open up a 5 point lead on their nearest rivals and keep their 100% record going.

   A great week for Enfield Town Ladies, very tight in the middle of the South East Division One, Enfield were in action on Tuesday night, the visitors taking on Luton Town Ladies as the Bedfordshire side got to play again at Kenilworth Road. 1st half goals from, Sasha Kelly and Nuala McKevitt sealing a 2-0 win for Enfield lifting them up into 3rd position. Built on that result away from home this Sunday too capping off a good 6 days with 6 points. Away to Actonians Ladies. It was goalless between the sides at the half-time interval. Katherine Long giving Enfield the lead on 58 minutes her 1st goal of the season. Sasha Kelly extending Enfield’s lead with 20 minutes left, her 4th goal of the season to secure the 3 points.

  A 3rd successive league win for AFC Wimbledon Ladies sees them consolidate 4th spot in South East Division One. Their latest 3 point haul coming at home on Sunday up against Norwich City Ladies, who faced delays on their journey down to Carshalton Athletic FC. The hosts starting brightly getting themselves into a 2-0 lead inside the opening 10 minutes, Jenny Nagle scoring in the 5th minute, Caroline Bisson getting Wimbledon’s 2nd just 4 minutes later. Kathryn Stanley pulling a goal back for Norwich just before the half hour mark, Wimbledon responding straight away to restore their 2 goal lead Nagle with her 2nd of the game adding Wimbledon’s 3rd .3-1 the lead at half-time Katie Stanley striking from a free-kick early in the 2nd half put Wimbledon into a strong position, 4-1 up Norwich got a goal back with 20 minutes left Reeanna Cook scoring. The early goals the difference as Wimbledon went on to win 4-2.

  A last gasp equaliser saw Leyton Orient WFC grab a point at home on Sunday, in South East Division One were hosting Ipswich Town Women who were looking to extend their winning run to 5 games. A fantastic strike from Zoe Cossey firing Ipswich into an early lead scoring on 10 minutes the difference between the sides at half-time. Paige Wakefield finding the back of the net from a corner doubling the visitors lead, 3 minutes into the 2nd half. 2-0 up with 10 minutes left Leyton Orient were to mount a late comeback Egle Trezzi pulling the score back to 2-1 in the 3rd minute, Hayley Barton levelling the scores in the dying seconds to rescue a point. 5th and 6th both sides on 12 points.

 Stevenage Ladies move onto 10 points level with 7th placed Actonians Ladies to move further away from the bottom sides winning away from home on Sunday at Denham United Ladies. Ashleigh Deacon opening the scoring for Stevenage midway through the 1st half, her goal quickly followed by another with Amy Makewell on target with her 5th goal of the season. 2-0 up at half-time, Denham pulled a goal back early in the 2nd half, Kayleigh Currivan on the scoresheet but the hosts were unable to breach the Stevenage defence for a 2nd time, the visitors winning 2-1.

  A tough week for Luton Town Ladies at the foot of South East Division One a heavy defeat away to leaders Crawley Wasps Ladies last Sunday were back in action again on Tuesday evening laying at Kenilworth Road suffered a 2-0 defeat to Enfield Town Ladies. Wee on the road again this Sunday taking on Cambridge United Women who with only 5 points on the board themselves were looking to pull away from the bottom. A single goal enough to secure the win for Cambridge coming from the penalty spot, new signing Becky Shepherd scoring her 3rd goal of the season.

Cambridgeshire Women’s Invitation Cup

Cup action all the way in Cambridgeshire this Sunday with the League Cup group games resuming. There was also one tie in the Cambridgeshire Women’s Invitation Cup 1st Round with Championship South side, Park Ladies hosting Championship North side Wisbech St Mary Ladies. The two sides enjoying a good contest with the tie going all the way to a penalty shootout. Park Ladies edging a close 1st half leading 1-0. The hosts scoring again in the 2nd half Darcie Tegerdine and Sherrie Martin with Park’s goals. Wisbech St Mary seeing the game end all square after the 90 minutes getting 2 themselves in the 2nd half, Megan Ratcliffe and Hannah Shales with the goals. Cambridgeshire Women’s League Cup

The group games in this season’s League Cup competition continuing this Sunday with 6 games taking place. In Group A, Ketton Ladies become joint leaders after the Championship North side at home beat Premiership side Netherton United Ladies. A single goal enough to secure the 3 points.

  One game too in Group B, Premiership side, March Town United Ladies topping the mini-league with 3 wins from 3 now. Away to Championship North side Hungate Rovers Ladies this Sunday. March leading 1-0 at half-time went on to dominate the 2nd half to run out 5-0 winners. Louise Barbour scoring twice. Emma Frost, Ella Nutter and Adele Munday all getting a goal each.

 Two games from Group C, in the early kick-off Premiership leaders, Cambridge City Ladies Development were away playing Cambridge Rangers Women from the Championship South. Megan Tonks putting Cambridge City into an early lead scoring after 5 minutes. Cambridge Rangers getting back on level terns on the half hour went on to take the lead in the 38th minute. Cambridge City responding quickly Tonks finding the back of the net for her 2nd of the game to make it 2-2 a strong end to the 1st half seeing the visitors score twice more Yasmin Crow and Rachel Littlewood with the goals putting Cambridge City 4-2 up at half-time. The visiting side adding one more goal in the 2nd half Jade Powell firing the ball home from a free-kick. Cambridge City winning 3 from 3 to top the group.

  Also in Group C it was an all Premiership clash between Riverside Ladies and Histon Ladies Reserves on Sunday. The Peterborough based side claiming their 2nd win in the group to join St Ives Town Development on 6 points. Annie Posnett scoring a hat-trick. Hannah Stubbs and Jade Ramm also scoring in a 5-0 win for Riverside.

   Two games also in Group D. Haverhill Rovers Ladies topping the table with 2 wins from 2. Have 20 goals from those 2 matches too, 8 in their win over Premiership side Fulbourn Institute Bluebirds, scored 12 without reply away from home against Burwell Tigers Ladies this Sunday. Joeli Kirby scoring 4 goals in the game. Emma Barnes netting herself a hat-trick. The other Haverhill goals shared between, Hayley Turner, Julie Brown, Kayleigh Nolan, Amy Evans and Kayleigh Steed.

   Fulbourn Institute Bluebirds picked up their 1st group win in the League Cup this Sunday at home to fellow Premiership side, Cambridge University Women. A close game Fulbourn scoring twice with Katie Luddy and Marie Stubbings both on the scoresheet. The hosts winning 2-1 with Amanda Wainwright scoring for Cambridge University.

One game played in Beds & Herts Women’s Division One this Sunday. Leaders, Welwyn Pegasus Sapphires away to the defending Champions, St Albans Ladies. Sophie Lawrence scoring in the 1st minute to put St Albans into the lead, Jessica McNamara scoring for the hosts in the 22nd minute. Janiece Allen making her first start for the Sapphires celebrating a hat-trick. Ellen Slater scoring for St Albans in the final 3 minutes to see the game end all square a point each, 3-3 the final score.

Beds & Herts Women’s League Cup

One outstanding tie from the 1st Round of the Beds & Herts Women’s Cup the much delayed fixtures between Division One sides, Garston Ladies 2nd XI and Northwood Ladies. Two goals in 5 minutes past the half hour for Emma Steele. The visitors going on to take control of the tie in the 2nd half with two more quick goals on the hour from Scarlett Keightley and Danielle Aken. Leanne Jones scoring a 5th for Northwood in the last five minutes to see them safely though to the 2nd Round. Charley Kelsey with the goal for Garston.

Beds & Herts Women’s Division Two

Hitchin Town Ladies move 4 points clear at the top of Beds & Herts Women’s Division Two. The league leaders at home playing Welwyn Pegasus Azures. Hitchin Town taking the lead inside 15 minutes with Louise Gash on target to score. Two goals from Kirsty Smith past the half hour seeing Hitchin go 3-0 in front, Welwyn Pegasus Azures responding well pulling it back to 3-1 straight away reduced the deficit to a single goal scoring from a corner in 1st half stoppage time. Hitchin Town defending their 3-2 lead going into the final 15 minutes, Gash held inside the box the hosts awarded a penalty, captain Emma Chaffey putting it away. Gash getting her 2nd of the game in the closing minutes to see Hitchin Town win 5-2.

   A 3rd win of the season sees Letchworth Garden City Eagles climbing the Division Two table up into 2nd spot after Sunday’s results. At home were playing Watton Ladies. Alyce Williams scoring a hat-trick. Emily Jamieson and Tayla Murray both scoring a goal, whilst there were 1st goals of the season for Alex Bush and Amy Atsma. Letchworth winning the game 7-1.

   A mid-table clash saw Evergreen Ladies hosting Bedford Ladies Development on Sunday in Division Two. Rebecca Freeman with her 6th goal of the season putting Evergreen into the lead. A last gasp equaliser rescuing a point for Bedford Ladies Development, Sarah Ridley on target with the goal late on to see the sides draw 1-1.

   A first league win of the season for Wheathampstead Wanderers Ladies following promotion to Division Two. At home to Evergreen Eagles on Sunday. Wheathampstead had only scored twice in their previous 5 games. More than doubled that tally this weekend to get their 1st points on the board courtesy of a 3-0 win.

Beds & Herts Women’s Division Three

  Langford Ladies are six points clear at the top of Beds & Herts Women’s Division Three after they won their 5th successive league game on Sunday. A big win too away to Buntingford Town Ladies. Another hat-trick for top scorer Amber Clark now has 14 goals to her name. Chloe Scott moves onto 9 goals for the season after adding another 2 goals for Langford. 4 more goalscorers too with Langford running out 9-0 winners, 1st goals of the season for Abigail Stock and Tabitha Brown with Rebecca Reeve and Danielle Vince also scoring.

  Looking to catch Langford at the top of the table are AFC Kempston Town & Bedford College Ladies playing just their 3rd league game this Sunday have a 100% record at the start of the season, climb back into 2nd position with victory at home against Bedwell Rangers Ladies.    Leigh Ramblers Ladies in 2nd have won 5 league matches in a row now their only defeat coming on the opening day. Were on the road on Sunday taking on bottom side Brentwood Town Ladies Reserves who struggling for numbers at the start of the season were playing for just the 3rd time this campaign. Lauren Knight scoring for Brentwood in the 15th minute, it was a close 1st half with Leigh Ramblers holding a 2-1 advantage. Leigh Ramblers the better side in the 2nd half as they found the back of the net for 4 more goals to win the game 6-1. Rebecca Dalgarno and Kate Newton both scoring a brace. Aimee Skinner and Emily Diwell both celebrating a goal.

   5th placed Chelmsford City Ladies were at home on Sunday taking on Beacon Hill Rovers Ladies. The sides sharing 6 goals between them, shared the points too with the game ending all square at 3-3. Georgia James, Shannon Kelly and Niki Medici all on target for Chelmsford City. Jo Smeaton the scorer of all three goals for Beacon Hill Rovers.

   A first league win of the season for Collier Row Tigers on Sunday lifts them up to 6th in the Premier Division table. A big win to coming away to Silver End United Ladies. Both Sarah Finch and Emily Dempsey hitting 4 goals apiece. Laura Bunton last seasons top scorer getting her first goal of the new campaign. Collier Row Tigers winning 9-1. Abigail Head scoring in her 1st start for Silver End United.

Essex Women’s Division One

   A 100% winning start for the leaders of Essex Women’s Division One too as Dagenham & Redbridge Ladies continue their excellent start to the season winning for the 6th time to remain 3 points clear at the top of the table. On the road this Sunday playing Hutton Ladies Reserves, top scorer Amy Jacobs keeping up hr fine form in front of goal scoring a hat-trick to move her onto 22 goals from 6 appearances. Grace Tebb-Reading also scoring for Dagenham & Redbridge along with Stephanie Males who netted her 1st goal of the season in a 5-2 win. Rachael Agombar and Casandra Piejko with her 1st of the season getting the goals for Hutton Ladies Reserves.

   Elsewhere in Division One their were huge wins for the sides looking to chase Dagenham & Redbridge down. 2nd place Billericay Town Ladies at home to Island Ladies are scoring plenty of goals their biggest win of the season 14-0 on the opening day, they matched that total again this Sunday to move onto 15 points from 6 played. Alexandra Baker making her first start of the season celebrating at hat-trick. Both |Hope Strauss and top scorer Lisa Robins both getting a brace. Emilia Dingwall on target with a goal along with 6 players all getting their 1st goals of the season, Alicia Woodward, Anna-Marie Rains, Rachel Armstrong-Morris, Grace Lane, Emma Roberts & Grace Wooley.

  It was a 14-0 winning score to for Rayleigh Town Ladies putting them back up into 3rd postponed games meaning they hadn’t played since the start of the month that their only defeat of the season like Billericay coming against Dagenham & Redbridge. Away to Chelmsford City Ladies Reserves this Sunday piled on the goals once again. Captain Isabelle Wallings had 14 goals already this season from 3 league games, including a 10 goal haul in one match claimed a further 8 this weekend moving her onto 22 goals. Megan Harley moves into double figures herself netting a hat-trick, likewise Eleasha Reeves bagging a brace has 11 goals now. Holly Gash with her 6th goal of the season scoring too for Rayleigh Town.

  FC Clacton Ladies climb up to 5th in Division One, their points tally reaching double figures, an away trip to Chigwell Ladies on Sunday afternoon. A brace from Becky McDougall and a goal for Amy Hartley securing a 3-0 win for the visitors.

Norfolk Women’s Division One

 The top two in Norfolk Women’s Division One met for the first time this season on Sunday, with leaders Thorpe United Ladies taking on 2nd placed Aylsham Ladies at home. Both sides dropping points last time out a fortnight ago, Thorpe losing for the first time this season whilst Aylsham winning their opening 3 matches drew 2-2 to Sprowston Ladies. Aylsham with a game on Thorpe the gap 2 points going into the game. Aylsham with the narrow advantage at the half-time whistle leading the match 1-0. Thorpe the better side 2nd half despite Aylsham adding a 2nd goal a brace for Aneliese Smith along with a goal from midfielder Laura Hedtke seeing Thorpe to a 3-2 victory to open up a 5 point lead at the top of the table. Mary-Anne Hoy and Sophie Lubbock scoring the goals for Aylsham as they suffer their 1st loss of the season.

   Sprowston Ladies swap places with Beccles Town Ladies in the Division One table after they met on Sunday, Sprowston in 6th spot looking to build on their draw with Aylsham heading to 4th placed Beccles. Victoria Leyer making just her 2nd appearance of the season found the back of the net 23 times last season, finally opened her account this season scoring a hat-trick as Sprowston climb up to 4th spot courtesy of a 3-1 win. Emily Coe netting the goal for Beccles.

   The bottom two both without a league point going into the match met at the weekend, Sprowston Athletic Ladies hosting last season’s Champions, Bungay Town Ladies. A frustrating start to the season for both, Bungay not having the fortune nor squad they were blessed with last season. Sprowston Athletic newly promoted as Division Two Champions getting their 1st 3 point haul of the new season with a good result winning the match 4-0. Melissa Belsey, Rachel Bussey, Olivia Leggett and Kate Morris the goalscorers the latter pair both with their 1st goals of the season taking Sprowston Athletic off the bottom of the table.

Norfolk Women’s Division Two

 Fakenham Town Ladies excellent start to the season in Norfolk Women’s Division Two continues as they record a sixth straight win to maintain there 100% winning start to the season. At home on Sunday welcomed Gorleston Rangers Ladies to Clipbush Park. A brace from Rochelle Woods, 1 from Fanny Dankskanen her 7th of the campaign and a first goal of the season for Tara Betts seeing the league leaders win 4-1. Lucy Witheridge getting on the scoresheet for Gorleston Rangers her 1st goal of the season.

   Taverham United Women newcomers to the league this season still unbeaten were at home this Sunday taking on Long Stratton Ladies who were defending a 100% winning start to the league campaign in Division Two themselves albeit their last league game played over a month ago. A close contest Taverham coming away with the 3 points to keep the pressure on leaders Fakenham, Katie Dunning scoring for the 1st time this season and Charlotte Hurren with the winning goals. Beth Stratton scoring the goal for Long Stratton as their winning start comes to an end.

  Long Stratton dropping to 5th in the Division Two table as Bure Valley Wildcats return to winning ways after 3 straight defeats in the league. That run ending at home on Sunday with Hockering Ladies the visitors. Bure Valley recording their 3rd win of the season a comfortable 7-0 result lifting them up from 6th.

    Plenty of goals to bring you from the final game to report on in Division Two from the weekend the bottom two meeting with Thetford side Bulldogs Ladies hosting Horsford Women. A tough start to life in the league with both suffering heavy defeats yet to get a point on the board. Horsford the side celebrating that achievement after the match. Had scored just 2 goals prior to this Sunday’s encounter a good first half that saw 9 goals scored had Horsford holding a 6-3 advantage, 4 of those goals coming in a purple patch right at the end of the half that saw nearly 10 minutes of stoppage time played. Bulldogs adding two further goals in the 2nd half, Horsford getting a 7th goal in the final 10 minutes with Elizabeth Moulton completing a hat-trick. Chantelle McTiernan having already acheived that feat for Horsford in the 1st half. Amanda Vincent the other goalscorer for Horsford finding the back of the net deep into 1st half stoppage time. It’s raining goals in Suffolk with some very heavy showers in the East Bergholt area as the league leaders continue their 100% winning start to the season with another huge win at home to bottom side Haverhill Rovers Ladies Reserves this Sunday. East Bergholt United Ladies now have an incredible 60 goals from just 6 league matches as they dominated their opponents. Annie Northwood top scoring in the game with for goals. 3 players all celebrating hat-tricks too for East Bergholt, Elena Nitsche, Millie Wilding and Georgia Lockerbie. Jessica Clark with a brace and Charlotte McGrath on target with a goal in a 16-0 win.

  East Bergholt though need the goals right now to keep their noses in front as they are joined on 18 points by Brantham Athletic Ladies who themselves have six wins from six at the start of the season an impressive goals record themselves with 31 now from their six games whilst defensively the leading pair have conceded just 5 goals between them. Brantham’s latest victory coming on the road as this Sunday they travelled to play Brightlingsea Regent Ladies. Captain, Lucy Dunnett scoring a brace for Brantham, with goals too scored by Danielle Harvey, Jodie Sharp and a 1st goal of the season for Carra-May Seeley. Brantham winning 5-0.

Olivia Hodges also finding the back of the net whilst their were also 1st goals of the season for Julie Brind, Kirsty Pollard and Katie Grimwood as Walsham Le Willows ran out 10-1 winners. Bernice Corney with the consolation goal for Chantry Grasshoppers. 

  In 6th position Coplestonians Ladies young side whilst conceding goals early in the season have nevertheless got 9 points on the board 3 coming courtesy of a home win they have scored just the 2 goals so far this season but each of those goals has been worth 3 points. The latest coming this Sunday at home as they took on Brettvale Ladies. Courteney Farris-Whatling with the goal for Coplestonians in the first half to secure the win.

  3 straight wins now for Woodbridge Town Ladies in the league and cup climb up to 7th spot in the Suffolk Women’s Division with a good result on the road against Leiston St Margarets Ladies on Sunday. Woodbridge getting themselves into a 2-0 half-time lead, Leiston St Margarets fighting back 2nd half getting 2 goals, Woodbridge scoring for a 3rd time though enough to see them edge the win by 3 goals to 2. Michelle Stanborough and an own goal for Leiston St Margarets. Goals for Sophie Crane, Kimberley Edwards and Jenna Liverpool winning the game for Woodbridge.
