Suffolk Women’s Division

  10 wins from 10 now for East Bergholt United Ladies at the top of the Suffolk Women’s Division, and a +100 goal difference already. Moved onto an incredible 104 goals for the season before Christmas with a home win against Brettvale Ladies this Sunday. Stacey Teager and Annie Northwood both finding the back of the net for two goals each, with Millie Wilding and Jessica Clark also getting a goal a piece in a 6-1 win. Iris Gunnarsdottir getting the goal for Brettvale her first for the club.

  All change below East Bergholt, Brantham Athletic Ladies neck and neck with East Bergholt at the start of the season slipping down to 4th after a run of 3 games without a win, a draw followed by a narrow loss at home to East Bergholt were away to Needham Market Women this Sunday having the best start to the season out of all the newcomers to the league. 3rd in the table Needham Market came out on top in a 7 goal thriller with Brantham to claim the 3 points their 8th win of the season taking them up into 2nd in the table winning 4-3. Lucy Dunnett, Kirsten Hutchings and Danielle Harvey scoring for Brantham.

  Alresford Colne Rangers up there too amongst the sides hoping to see East Bergholt slip up, climb into 3rd position in the Suffolk Women’s Division table with a big win away to struggling Haverhill Rovers Ladies Reserves on Sunday. Tiffany Reeves with a double hat-trick for Alresford top scoring in the match. 3 more players celebrating hat-tricks for Alresford with Jenna Cash, Vicky Hall and and Lucie Stanbury all getting 3 to their name. Laurel Harknett added two more with Christina Cash and Jasmine Warner also on the scoresheet in a 19-0 win.

   One goal is enough though to win the 3 points more often then not and Coplestonians Ladies claimed their 3rd 1-0 win of the season away from home on Sunday on consolidate their position in mid-table in the Suffolk Women’s Division. Were away to Brightlingsea Regent Ladies the sides locked at 0-0 at half-time. Felicity Cooper, getting the all important goal in the 2nd half for the visitors to secure Coplestonians 5th win of the campaign.

   0-0 after the first 45 minutes on Sunday between University of Suffolk Women and Chantry Grasshoppers Ladies it was a completely different story 2nd half with the sides sharing 8 goals between them and taking home a point each, Leanne Derbyshire and Amy Yeldham scoring 2 goals each for University of Suffolk ended the game with 10 with Christeena Sunny red carded. Charlotte Archer doubling her goals tally for Chantry Grasshoppers with a hat-trick with Bernice Corney also getting a goal for the visitors in a 4-4 draw.
