The Supporting Women’s Football Blog started 2016 off with a trip down to Essex to watch a match from the Eastern Region Women’s Premier Division, between title hopefuls Billericay Town Ladies laying 2nd in the table going into the match as they took on Norfolk side Acle United Ladies who had played just the one competitive match since the start of November 2015. A wet and windy, thoroughly miserable day the rain lashing down the match was played on a 3G pitch one of just a handful to survive the weather, a win for Billericay and they would retake the lead in the table.
